First MM card - the SDCC Trophy card - but will it be the same design?

Cool. That price is OK though. It's a nice card and there really haven't been many about lately, and I think many of us decided we preferred them without those stickers on them (though it's all down to personal preference of course).

oh well, there goes my bank balance.  also won the tie set for $73.  so i don't consider that too bad a price for the MM trophy card and SS tie set.

just need a emma auto for the MM master set now.

That's really much.    A long while ago the most expensive plain one was sold for $900 if i remember right. But if you really want it ...

If it's plain but a special shape then it's a good un - the 'non plain' ones were only tacky translucent stickers after all...
