I think QB is trying to discourage bidders to keep the price low personally. i had a feeling he/she might do that once I retracted all my bids.

Another listed but this time a bi-product of what happened to the first 6 cards that sold...the starting bid is rather high

I have sent the seller a question about the card coming up again..was.it a non-pay or just a double...in the early stages of this game I did put a bid on this card, so well within my right to find out or ask what happened

The seller is a forum member here and posted that he has 3 cards. 2 similar and one blank. So maybe it is paid and he chose the other one, who knows.  Roll Eyes

I checked it, he said not "similar" he said "the same". So probably it is paid. See page 3 of this topic or just this:

Just so you all know... I have three of these cards... two of them are exactly the same... same
writing on them.  The writing is not engraved... it is a foil sticker.   I have one that is blank, but
the plaque is different than any of the other ones I have seen on Ebay or in person at the show.

I just put up one of the cards on ebay... it is the one with the roman numerials on it... I have two like
that...  It is hard to get a picture of it... I'm leaving it sealed in the arylic case... and those do
not photograph well.... and because I suck a photography when it comes to irregular situations
where an experienced photographer is needed... like when taking a picture of a shiny object.

I'm glad I didn't except the second chance offer then. If I'm going to pay over 1000 I want it to be unique.

2 of exactly the same card including the sticker...what would be the chances be out of 25 for sale at the  SDCC...I suppose he beat the odds getting the same card...all 9 posted so far have been different and unique until the 10th one, THEN AGAIN I GOT TO KEEP ON REMINDING MYSELF THAT IT WAS JUST A BACKGROUND PROP !!! and detail wouldn't have been very high on the item

Last night wasn't too good.  Undecided  I started to hate Firehoarse for stealing all the nicest cards. And the "US-Tower" is in the game now. I'm afraid i won't have a chance to get the blank one which appeared now, if the game continues that way. And all for a unnumbered card.  Tongue  Hard times.

Funny, half an hour before you wrote this, i contacted Tom for some other stuff and he mentioned the card. One without a sticker like yours (but not a unique size like yours). Well, you still made the best deal yet and i thought a while, if i should take it for the offered price, but i did, it was not too far away from my limit. I don't know if i should be happy now. One the one side i'm not, i paid more than i originally wanted and still think, the card won't hold the price (especially without the sticker). On the other side it's absolutely relieving of course and i appreciate his offer, it was absolutely okay. It was a hard decision, but i felt, it's nice to save a lot of energy now when my hunt is over. Now it is.  Cool

Thanks Mo, for telling me what you did. But next time please in a PM.  Grin Wink

A PM of course didn't even think of it.....you were wise in getting the card with these big dealers out there, the average person does not stand a chance of bidding at a half decent price and being the winner..I noticed that some of the people that have already won the trophy cards were back at it again...what's Firehoarse is going to do with 3 is beyond me...also Madcroc was bidding again...I know that Edith will be very aggressive on the 2 cards left so we should see her with one also
If not having a sticker is going to drop the value, why not go to a proper trophy shop and have a sticker made up??
How do you know that a sticker hasn't been applied to any of these cards so far?? Or is being done right now to increase the value ??
I've been told that allot of these cards are doubles blank or sticker
Contacted Jwenig (Jason) who sold 2 but was keeping his third because it was a unique shape and blank, well now there's 2..... his and mine we traded pictures to compare, so we own the twins of that one
