I saw it too and i'm almost sure that the first seller sells exactly the card with "Winner 1882". So the second one who took the picture from the other auction ...  Roll Eyes

The second seller added this to their description:

On Jul-26-06 at 13:08:04 PDT, seller added the following information:

The picture displayed on this auction is of the trophy card you will get in the unopened boxed that I have for sale. I bought two of these and kept one for myself that I opened. I took the picture of the actual card so the bidder can see what it looks like. PLEASE remember that you are getting an untouched still in the box trophy card.

So we have two possibilities:

1. Both sellers are the same person.
2. The second seller lies and doesn't show the card of his second opened box.

I vote vor 2.  Tongue

The seller for the first auction, psychocomicsandcards, said that the picture in his auction is of his actual card and the other seller copied it.  He sent an email to the second seller, asking him to remove the photo.  He also said that all of the trophy props are different, except for a couple that are blank.

I also contacted the second seller and she told me that she bought 2 of them  at the SDCC..SHE DID CONFIRM THAT THE CARD SHOWN IN HER LISTING WAS A PICTURE THAT SHE TOOK OF HER OWN CARD, and the one for sale is still sealed in the original box...I also mentioned to her that the picture of her own card is also showing on a current Ebay listing, but was posted days before hers and asked how could he do that......................................and got NO RESPONSE TO SUCH A PONDERING QUESTION

It looks to me like the card is not even still in a box or case or something, so I think the second seller isn't being honest about that. I could be wrong.  I would love to watch the feedback on these.

How can this person have a picture of 'the trophy card you will get' if it is an 'untouched still in the box trophy card'........if the box is unopened then how can this be a picture of the ACTUAL card???

Edit: If you look at what this person is saying logically, it really doesnt make sense at all...well not to me anyway

I have a theory.  Maybe the second seller realy only bought one.  Or maybe they did buy two, but didn't open either of them.  Maybe they used the picture from the other auction thinking all the cards are the same and doesn't realize they are all completely different pieces Huh

ROFL! Cant believe we havent picked that up before now  ROFL! Thats a major stuff up on Artbox's part...the Triwizard tournament has nothing to do with Quidditch  ROFL!

To me it would be a Hogwarts Quidditch trophy cause the Triwizard cup was alot different...And it wouldnt be the 'Quidditch world cup' either cause the trophy would have come from the trophy room at hogwarts

ROFL! oh dear that was a great laugh

Would the 'error' *trey ponders that the words 'major stuff-up' may be more relevant* be on the back of the card or just the Certificate of Authenticity??

Personally I wouldnt pay more because it says the wrong thing I think that would be a bit silly. And its not like its only a 1/1 error, its on all 31 anyway.

I agree.  It's probably a Hogwarts Quidditch trophy.  Since the movies don't exactly follow the books, it's also possible that the prop department made a Triwizard Cup trophy, which is at Hogwarts because the tournament is being held there.  I'd love to see more cards, just to read what's written on the trophy pieces.  If there were any names engraved on the pieces, we might have a better idea about which trophy this really is.

No, not really! There was a comic convention in California this past weekend and Artbox were selling some new "stuff". They had this trophy card and a set of 4 cards that had all 4 house ties included in it!

The second seller has ended the original auction and started a new one with a slightly different description!
