I've kept track of a couple of snipers in the past and nither were collectors. How do I know? The items went up at a vastly inflated price in their Ebay stores  Hopping Mad Hopping Mad

Yup, I've seen that way too many times.  I've never used a sniping program - hate them all...

You've got people who put in last minute bids themselves, then you've got people who use sniping programs to do it for them... If you look at the bidding history and you see several bids in the last 10 seconds - odds are VERY good that all those people use sniping programs...

So that's how they do it, i thought they either had a very nice connection (so unlike mine that takes more than 8 seconds to "refresh") or divine help to let them bid 5 times in the last 5 seconds Roll Eyes.

Topic seemed appropriate so here goes...

I hate....people who dont read my auction terms and conditions!!! Hopping Mad
My auction states thus:
"Terms and Conditions:

Payment by Australian bidders is by bank deposit, bank cheque or money order ONLY. DO NOT use PAYPAL!

Payment by overseas bidders is by paypal ONLY!

Please do not bid if you cannot abide by these terms."

And i get this email: "blah blah blah paid by paypal blah blah blah"   Hopping Mad

I've had that happen to me. I just refunded their money and said politely, but firmly, as stated in the payment description, paypal is not available to Australian buyers and requested payment by the methods I had set out.

It's one of my pet hates as well Hopping Mad

how do you do a refund, and do you get the fees back?

really what i should do is just bump up the postage and be done with it... its been a long running problem, and ive updated my description to make it absolutely crystal clear, but apparently some people cant read.

In PayPal, click on the Details of the transaction.  At the very bottom of the page there's a Refund Payment link.  You will then be able to issue a full or partial refund and there's a place where you can write a comment to your buyer.  It should also show you what the fee amount refunded to you is.

ah cool, thanks.

By the sound of it the buyer is young ("mum paid by paypal") so ill let it go this time, and just increase my postage in future to cover paypal fees; its just not worth the headache as it seems to happen over and over again....
