Well it was quite a downfall - so much so that there was a river of water running down the opposite side of the road to our house! Shocked
I've seen it worse than that only once before and the amount of water was -->  Shocked Shocked Shocked ... it covered the entire road! I recall this spectacular storm waking me at some wee hour of the morning and I stood at the bedroom window with my jaw on the floor at the sight of it. There was a slightly funny incident when some total idiot decided to drive through it, turn around and drive back down the street! Roll Eyes ROFL!
The wave of water his car threw up washed my front door down for me!! Shocked Shocked Undecided
Boy was I grateful to have a good uPVC door and doorframe to keep the water out! Tongue

It seems to be a regular occurance when we get heavy downpours like yesterday's on top of a spell of hot dry weather when the ground's baked hard. Eh well ...  Undecided

Well, the weather's definitely better here... although maybe it's just me, it's sunny out but my hands are freezing, I'm wearing a cardie and a raincoat and still I freeze...admittedly this room is air conditioned. I'd best go and see what it's like in the outside world ROFL!, I feel detatched from it ROFL!

Wish me some dry weather, as I'll be punting ROFL!
