A little off topic, but how do I get a picture onto my profile? The bit about setting up a path confuses me? Huh

well find your avatar, then use maybe www.photobucket.com to host the avatar and then use the top line web address it gives you out of the 3 (under the photo when you have hosted it). copy and paste that tag into the avatar bar on this forum and i think that does it.

Avatars must be 80x80 max, the problem is most avatars you find are 100x100 but alot of the sites allow you to adjust the size. I hope my ramble of crap helps you  Tongue

It should be ok... the 80x80 is just a warning so that you know the picture will be resized to 80x80. You can still use a 100x100 picture, it just might seem a little squashed...

Hi Whoiam,  I was having trouble too but if you go to the link mentioned in the previous message (photobucket.com) you can start an online site to store pictures.  Edit them to 80X80 and then use the URL to place a picture in your profile.
If you have any questions, shoot a message to Roz.  She helped me out.

Youll need to click on "profile" near the top of the page, then click on "forum profile settings" on the left. To use your own pic, it will have to already be uploaded on the internet, and you will need to put in the address for the pic. To get the address, right click on the pic of choice, click properties, and the addy will be there, just copy and paste.
Hope that helps.

are you copying the line of the webpage where the pic is, or the html of the pic itself? For example, if you right-click on my avatar, and go to properties, the url http://groups.msn.com/.... is displayed...this is the bit you need
