Sketch Card Addict

This has never happened to me before - guess I've been lucky...

Got an email today that a sketch I've been looking forward to receiving (Eowyn by Mandrake) has been ruined (coffee stain) along with 3 others by Mandrake.  Now the auction ended on 8 June, but since I won that one I bid on 4 others the next week and paid for the lot of 5 on the 26th.  Got the email today and I'm glad the seller contacted me, but I'm upset.....

Now obviously, I should have paid quicker, but I was paying for all 5 cards together (ended at different times).  I fully expected that the cards would be sent out no later than last Saturday (the same week they were paid for - I paid on Monday).  And of course, WHY would you EVER have drinks of any kind near cards - especially cards you're selling / have sold?Huh??

The seller has given me a couple of options - exchange the ruined sketch for another of the same value or refund the amount of the ruined sketch.  Personally since I'm upset I don't want ANY of the 5 cards - only got the other 4 because I could combine shipping and could use them for redraws.  I'm also going to ask for a scan of the ruined card.  If it's not too badly damaged I still want it...

End result - I got a refund for all 5 cards I purchased.  A bummer since I REALLY wanted that Eowyn sketch...  Because of the language barrier it took WAY too long to reach any kind of consensus...  I wish I knew a second language better than I currently do....
