I would consider that seller's feedback to be zero, since he/she hasn't had any transactions since 2000. The negatives were for non-payment of auction wins. I'm surprised this person didn't start up a new account.

The seller's auctions are not covered by PayPal Buyer Protection, just the standard protection. The only way you might want to chance an auction like this is to pay with a credit card through PayPal, and then if the item doesn't show up, you can do a chargeback on the credit card.

Oooooooo he has my legs   Cindy what is the difference between buyer protection and standard? I am really tempted by this but only if I am Paypal protected (like you said the feedback is 6 years old). |

It's complicated, and I'm sure eBay and PayPal do it on purpose. PayPal Buyer Protection covers up to $1,000 US for any single purchase. You can make only three Buyer Protection claims in a calendar year.
If you use all three claims in one year, or the seller isn't qualified for Buyer Protection (based on feedback score and other criteria), then the dispute falls back to the PayPal Buyer Complaint Process or the eBay Standard Purchase Protection Program. PayPal will try to resolve the dispute, but there's no guarantee that they will be able to recover all or even part of your money. The protection through eBay is capped at $200 minus a $25 fee.
The seller is question does not qualify for PayPal Buyer Protection. If you won the auction for $100 and did not receive the card, you might get back $75. However, if you use your credit card to pay through PayPal, you can have the credit card company issue a chargeback to recover your money. Of course, you'll need to check your credit card company's policy on this.

Thanks Cindy  That is complicated and they certainly don't publicise the difference. I will definitely have a check with my credit card company but I have a rotten feeling they don't cover internet shopping any more (a lot of the UK card companies have sneakily slipped this into their terms and conditions). I think I will watch this for a bit longer - I really want it but don't want to risk losing that kind of money |

That's approximately 24 boxes' worth of inserts (at two per box). The best cards are the Moody auto, Harry costume, and the burnt tent props. The rest were fairly common, with lots of duplicates.

What I find worrying is that the seller used a link to the Yak Shack's Price Guide pictures in lieu of posting pictures. This could be misinterpreted that the Shack had something to do with this auction. |

Sellers need to provide there own pictures for their auctions. That's why all the Shack's images are watermarked, so people can't steal the pictures for their own use. |
