Yep, by mid afternoon you'll see all the dealers with their ear to a radio, and in the passages some tumbleweed will roll slowly from one passage to another.

Appearing on Saturday only

Christopher Lee

Quoter from Showmaster forum

Christopher Lee will be signing Saturday only, and will also be doing a 45 minute talk. Tickets for the talk will cost £15 each and will be available from when the doors open at 9am. Autographs will cost £45 each and this is a once in a lifetime chance to meet an absolute legend of the silverscreen.

Autographs are 1 PER PERSON ONLY, and you can only get into the autograph queue if you are buying an autograph.

Gold Pass holders get into the talk for free, and their ticket will be held back for them.

As much as I'm a dedicated follower of all things movie and film related, I can't give up my whole weekend to standing in queues, Maggie Grace will be back... Christopher Lee (most likely) will not (I'm not suggesting anything about his age, I'm just judging by the fact that he said he'd never do a convention Grin).

I wonder what's changed his mind.

£45 an auto * 1000 = £45,000.

Not that I wouldn't get his autograph, as long as he dosn't go into Bill Shatner mode (6 autos per minute)

Do you think £45k is a lot of money to Christopher Lee?

I just wonder why he is doing it if he stated he would never do a convention.

I think 50% of the stars do it for the money.

I think you'll find that he is paid a fee for appearing and the auto price is set by the organiser. Considering some of the one minute wonders that sign for between £15 - £20, I think this is excellent value for one of the all time greats  Grin

I agree, I would pay for his auto if I could go, but I can't.

I have an important date with the Pub and TV on Saturday about 4.00 p.m. Grin Grin
