Sorry kbmum Don't want to sound like I'm complaining, because I'm not it's a fantastic set What was really trying to say is that autos as stated on the pack were 1:960 packs So as you can imagine i was really happy when I pulled one, stunned to pull a second but on the third I just got the feeling that I was just getting the same thing rather than something different or that the odds weren't quite as stated. It was just a knee jerk reaction I pulled the giant brick road out of the case, then a normal brick road and a colour RAM, next box brick road type 2 and a colour KONG After that it just felt I was pulling HENDERSON sketches and Jerry Maren autos. Im delighted with the set and look forward to adding to it!

Well, you did pull a lot of Henderson sketches. They're still nice, though. If the autos are 1:960 packs, and there are 480 packs in a case, then I think you got very lucky and a few other cases were shorted autos. At least you have some spares to sell or trade so you can get sketches from other artists.

The more I look at it the happier I am
I've got a sale/trade
Brick road Jerry Maren x2 Plus all usual chase/base sets
And of course I did get 7 colour sketches to 5 B/W
It was just the way they came out all together.
Sorry miss remembered: Autos are 1:240 packs Scarecrow and lion are 1:960 (Which I got both of)

Iwozframed - I'm so glad you got one of my colored cards! It makes me happy to see people enjoying the cards!
I have to say that Breygent is to be commended for their treatment of the artists also. Well for me anyways. Tom was nothing more than professional on all accounts.

I was soooo pleased to get one of your cards Rich Not only because I think your work is fantastic, But when you use it for your avatar that just makes it a little bit more special for me. If this sounds a bit too grovelly it's because I'm saving for a commission

Hi Gimli, Have you noticed that Henderson sometimes forgets to put his "CH" on his sketches? Thankfully he alsways seems to remember to number them. I wonder how many he did? Considering the quantity it's great that they are of such a nice quality. ***Not wanting to say negative things about other sets.***
It was a nice touch that Chris usually numbered the sketches in each image type. As to numbers, it wasn't totally scientific, but I did a search of completed eBay auctions and counted the totals of all of them that listed the artist's' name in the auction description. A few of the artists seem to be quite scarce, but some of that might be due to signatures that the seller couldn't decipher. The artist wasn't named in a lot of the descriptions. 37 - Auck 5 - Babbitt 18 - Chandler 39 - Czop 25 - De Liz 44 - Dillon 14 - Ecklund 37 - Engstrom 314 - Henderson 9 - Hickman 25 - Hodges 57 - Kong 53 - Kraiger 36 - Martineck 46 - Molinelli 17 - Rosenberger 41 - Ross 31 - Staggs 34 - Winters 8 - Zsolnai This might suggest that Chris did a pretty good fraction of the total sketches. I don't know where such talent comes from, I certainly didn't inherit it ...

What's really fantastic about Chris' sketches is that most of them are great, some fantastic and none of them, absolutely none, dip to the level of a doodle as seen in an unfortunate lot of the LOTR EVO sketches.

I finally scanned some of the sketches I've picked up over the past few weeks. My absolute favorite is the Darla Ecklund sketch of Glinda. I wish the scan did it justice, because it's really very detailed. I love the eyes.

Has anyone had a sealed box which contained only regular cards and the standard quantity of Wicked Witch, Toto, and foil puzzle cards? No sketchcard, or anything else! The box in question came from a sealed case.

I can't recall hearing about dud boxes for this product, but if you send an email to the manufacturer, they might be able help you.

Update on the dud....
I sent an email off to Brygent.....and I am to be sent a sketch card. It does not matter which one except I am hoping for no duplcate of the ones I already have.
Here is the breakdown of my case: Box #4215 - 1x sketch Box #3733 - 1x sketch, YBS1, JM1 Box #0092 - 1x sketch, HCLS Box #4704 - B&A1, 1x sketch (cardboard insert) Box #2051 - MC1, 1x sketch Box #3409 - B&A2, 2x sketches Box #0938 - JM2, 1x sketch Box #3234 - 1x sketch Box #2420 - YBS2, KS, 1x sketch Box #3839 - 1x sketch Box #0079 - 1x sketch Box #3862 - none Total 12 sketches, 3 prop/costume cards
Actually from a case point of view, this case had a nice balance of cards, all the muchkin autos, a set of B&A, both Yellow brick cards. If you are wondering about the "cardboard insert", Tom said it is inserted to prevent searching of boxes. My guess if one is searching for "cut" autos and if there is one of these in every case, since the "cuts" are oversized, it may just work.

Probably the absent cards from the "dud" box showed up in another box, though not necessarily in that case. I just got two boxes but they were consecutively numbered, and one had 41 packs and the other one had 39 packs. The "short" box actually was the best one, with a sketch, an auto, and a Lion Hair with 8 lower chase. Since you had one two-sketch box, its numerical "sister" might have been another dud.

Hello,
I'm sorry for not replying to the e-mails asking about the Wizard of Oz sketch cards.
For the record - yes. I only did one of each scene except for one cards (however, one was in pencil and the other in ink - and they were the same scene except that one had 3 characters in the globe, the other had all four. - so I guess you could say they were different) I only did 65 cards.
I have been busy working as the artist for an independent film (concept and scene artist). Now I begin the Lord of the Rings sketch cards for Topps.
I hope that answers everyones question. Thanks to all of you for your comments and support in buying the cards.
cheers,
Chuck "THE HUN" Zsolnai

I did get a dud box out of 60 that I opened. But in fairness, I did get a box with two sketches. I think the collation on this set was great. A lot better than some we could mention. If anyone wants WOZ I have some listed on ebay ID: johnwmartin, in my store. I count myself lucky to have a HUN sketch. I posted it on page one. It's Glinda. I sold the box that had the Judy Garland 10 of 10 cut signature card. Oh well, such is luck.
