Hi All Wink Cheesy Grin,

I have always wanted to read Terry Pratchett's Discworld Series,but have always been put off as there is so many books,where do I start?.
Does anybody know the actual reading order of these book's as the author intended,please let me know.

I'd say looking at the guide the four starter books on the left are all very good places to start

The colour of magic (Wizard)
Equal rites (Witches)
Mort (Death)
Guards! Guards! (Police detective)

Don't be put off if you have problems getting in to the story its a whole new world to learn!
Personally I still find the first three Wizard books a bit clunky, But they were the early books he wrote, and was probably just finding his feet.

Cheers IWOZFRAMED Wink Cheesy Grin for the advice I have just bought from a sci-fi book club I'm a member of an omnibus edition which has both the "Colour Of Magic" and "Light FANTASTIC" together and can't wait to receive it as everyone I have ever heard reading says it's a very good set of books and very wacky and zany.

I don't know if anyones interested but I've just discovered another writer, who writes in quite a similar style to Pratchett

Truly brilliant, well worth a look if your a disc-addict and stuck waiting for the next book  Grin
