Question.  I found someone selling a rare Harry Potter shiny card from these packs.  She says only 30 are made, and only 15 are shiny.  There is no picture, but the only one I know of that has 30 made are the Pear Tree Leaves.  She says it is called the Harry Potter card.  Anyone have a clue what this is, or where I could go to see a picture? Thanks.

How bizarre... I don't think it's a peartree as it only has the usual foil "Harry potter" and the squiggle...

Is there any way she could give you more info?

The only rare cards I can think of are these, there are rumours that there are only 10 blue sets and 10 green sets...

Of course it could be something from another HP set - i.e. not the artbox lot

She is from Canada (I don't know if that helps), but she is advertising the Azkaban cards.  When I asked what exaclty she was selling, she told me her collection of a total of 220 cards, and this rare card.  I asked her about the card and here is her response:

"Well there is a really really rare card. and it is called the harry
potter
card. you see they have only made 30 of them and they are really rare
to
get. and also they are worth alot of money. My harry potter card is a
shiny
so it would be worth double the amout because they only made 15 of
them."

I just wrote back for more info, and will let you know if I hear from her again.

Yeah please keep us updated... the 30 makes it sound like a peartree but they all have something shiney on the peartrees. I don't think there are any prismatic peartrees or prismatics of the other props... but keep us up to date!

The Pear Tree would not be considered the Harry Potter Card though, right?  And it has a prop attached to it.  She didn't mention anything about a prop.

She wrote me back and gave me a link to see the card she is talking about.  Now, first I want you to look on eBay at her auction.  The link is:

http://cgi.ebay.com/ws/eBayISAPI.dll?ViewItem&rd=1&item=6107615127&ssPageName=STRK:MEWA:IT

So you would think she is talking about what we all want.  Then, here is the link of the picture she sent me so I can see what card she is talking about:

Boy is she all mixed up.

Hi,
Those cards from that uction are from the sets that where produced by wizards of the coast.
the was the base set, quidditch set, diagon alley set, adventure at hogwarts set and Chamber of secrets.

The cards where okay but nothing to  the standard of artbox.
Hope this helps clear everything up.

Well I have seen that card sell anywhere from$5.00 to $35.00
now it is more like $10.00 but that is on a good day
but bear in mind that those set are out of production so
it might be worth a bit more but i noticed on ebay that
you have buy a box of those card un opened for around $20.00

So who does this girl think she is saying in her listing it is going for $200.  That is why I thought she was advertising the box of hobby cards, like she pictured.

Too good to be true... Some people have no idea about the different set releases of cards I think.
