I thought this was pretty high, and could be done much cheaper piece by piece.  After reading the $$$ that the Peter Jackson auto is going for I thought maybe not that bad.   I wouldn't pay that as I just got both complete sets of FOTR & TTT costume cards for  less than $800.

I would think it will come down from there.  Anyone else surprised at the purchase price?

I definately agree with you on that.  It seems people get caught up in the bidding process and common sense goes out the door.  I noticed a few of the bidders are people who post here as well!

By the way beckham I answered your question to me about New Hampshire where you posted the question - I do not know if you have read it because I have not seen a reply.   Smiley

He hee. No, I didn't make a penny on that! I had 2, I had bought 2 you see and sold the first and that gave me enough money to have the other one for free Smiley

I have to admit I got it thinking that this would be like FOTR, if you have FOTR Merry and you slowly buy everything else you can get a set. That is by no means the case with this set so my HP set is a bit bizarre with it to be honest!

Ahh well it makes our set very nice all the same!

Pax, I would sell it to buy a PJ auto if PJ hadn't done TT. If he hadn't done the TT auto this PJ auto would be through the roof!

Can you PM me about the ROTK box topper I said I'd find for you - it was a spare. I have a big list of things to pack tonight (I am praying for some good weather so I can skate too) but otherwise I'll be packing things all evening for people... sadly not ebay sellings but big parcels for friends so that's even more fun really!

Cheers
