Unless it is something you can't live without or can't buy elsewhere I would say stuff her Only trouble is if you give her negative feedback she will give you negative feedback. I would do what Cindy suggested and file a complaint with Ebay but say the goods were not received. When she responds to them by saying she refunded the money it will be up to her to explain why. This way it is all on Ebays records. Me being extremely mean I would then look up some more of her auctions (or get someone else to do it) and ask her if she accepts Paypal from the UK. When she says no that can also be reported as a misleading auction and it will be another strike against her. This sounds really mean but at the end of the day she mislead you when you won this auction and the only person out of pocket is you

Sharon's got it right. You don't want to get a negative feedback--and she would likely leave you one just out of spite. The bottom line is that she was, in fact, misleading, which is against policy. ~ Me being extremely mean I would then look up some more of her auctions (or get someone else to do it) and ask her if she accepts Paypal from the UK. I've filed non-receipt with Paypal Only problem is, they're almost as dim She's replied stating she's refunding me. This is correct, but doesn't explain why They now say that they're waiting till 6/5 to see if I cancel the complaint, then they'll proceed If they were to read my submission, instead of just following a flowchart, we could sort this nonsense Still no sign of the returned funds clearing Just to cover a few other points - Someone I know on the Topps board is offering me a deal on this card, so I'm waiting on him The refunder can't cancel the refund (which would help both of us) that's Paypals fault tho' Finally, I bought something totally different today on the bay. Went out, voted, had meal, get home, check ebay. The seller of item I won earlier is now "No longer registered with " I dunno if I should laugh or cry Rob (laughing)

I think you should laugh. It's better to find out there's a problem with the seller before you send payment than after. Can you call PayPal? Sometimes it's easier to sort things out when you can speak to someone.

I dunno if I should laugh or cry~ I'm glad you're laughing! That's what you should do. Man, when it rains, it pours, doesn't it? Just think, maybe this is a slump of rotten luck and it'll turn around after this one. If you bought any GOFU boxes, I'll bet you get a quad card!

I second that motion! I've said it before and I'll say it again, this board is just so 'familiar" - you know? It's like a group of friends that get together and hang out - I'm just sorry all this is happening to you.

Course we are ... WE ROCK matey!! Rob ... sincere commiserations on your latest ebay transaction - better to find out now than after you've paid - not much consolation if it's something you really want though ... Hope things get sorted for you asap!

From Robwaddle:- "My problem is. I really don't like the sellers attitude. I understand all the arguments for/against Paypal, but the facts are these: 1. No mention of not accepting Paypal from me. 2. Refunded my payment without consulting me. 3. After two days, I'm still waiting for the refund to clear my Paypal axxount. No way am I paying again 'till it does. 4. I keep asking myself, "Why am I being so reasonable about this?" 5. Seller has now told Paypal that she made me a refund. No explanation given, it's almost like she wants me to come across as unreasonable. 6. I send all correspondence via ebay, all her replies come straight via email.. So, she'll deny anything they don't have records of." In answer to your perplexed questions, I can only think the seller has the following in mind... 1. You should have known 2. You got your money back. Why worry? 3. Pay again. You're loaded 4. Because you don't want to be crapped upon 5. You are a buyer. You have got to look for the easy way out 6. Evil female. Says one thing and does something else * You have been stitched up mate. Don't do the negative thing 'cause you'll only get one undeserved back *Refers to all ex girlfriends. The ladies on this forum are lovely (crawling finished now ).

Yes, and it's good The funds finally cleared on Thursday. Another auction ended a few hours later, so I won that one Used the cleared funds to pay for it, saved $15 and left neutral for seller. It's been a real pain, but I have a result If seller leaves me neg or nuetral, I will respond, but make damn sure it stays on the record. I'm happy to take some stick, if it flags up what a twit the seller is!!!!! Rob

Thanks Ferdinand. Seller went to great lengths to say this was an error, but to just return the money was just stupid It'll be interesting to see what happens next! Rob

Hmm, didn't see this one so will give my late views on this matter even though its already settled. That particular seller is actually flouting ebay rules as ebay states that : Sellers who offer PayPal as a payment option on eBay (either using logos or text in the item description) must accept all forms of PayPal payment including account balance, bank account transfer, and credit cards. Sellers must have a Premier or Business PayPal Account or be willing to upgrade from a Personal PayPal Account to a Premier or Business Account if sellers receive a credit card payment. Sellers may not communicate to buyers that they accept, or will not accept, specific forms of PayPal payment. In other words, if you offer paypal as a payment method, you must accept ANY paypal payments regardless of what that paypal method may be. Also, another bad experience I had recently with a deadbeat seller who ripped me off on an auction where the items were sent registered but was never sent and couldn't even give me the registered number. I paid with paypal and got a full refund. Case solved? Nope!!! Apparently, there's a loophole with this method. The payment was reversed meaning that you never paid for the item and the seller could issue you a non-paying bidder which he did and I eventually got a non-paying bidder strke! I contacted ebay and seems those fools there are really fools and can't do anything to help me. In the end, I paid up AGAIN and applied for the strike to be taken off my record. Guess what? Those ebay fools immediately got my strike off the very next day after verifying I had paid for the cards. Lucky for me, my loss weren't that great but pls be beware that sellers could actually take that move and ebay can do nothing to stop it!!

Interesting! I am pretty sure that rule is set up so you can't say "cleared funds only" and circumnavigate their fees for personal accounts, but it seems also to apply to this case! Good find

Good find Specific FORMS? Does that cover countries of origin as well or just forms of payment that are allowed? If this seller doesn't want to take a chance on overseas transactions (Her/his loss by the way.) then he should say USA sales only. The seller was totally wrong in the first instance with his terms of sell.

Congrats - I am really happy that it worked out for you. It was just so outrageously stupid that it even happened in the first place and I am just glad its all sorted. I will also be interested to see if the seller leaves you a neutral/neg They shouldn't because I think they know that they screwed up. Look at their latest auction terms: If you accept paypal AND ship internationally, you HAVE to accept paypal as an option from overseas bidders... I think the seller might get reported...

I tried complaining to Paypal, their attitude is.... "You got refund, what's the problem?" 2 days after giving nuetral fb, the seller hasn't responded I've now won & paid for a cheaper card, so I spose I'm happy. Am still baffled as to why some peeps are determined to complicate life, but that's humanity Moral of story: Just because you've won, reread the listing, complied with sellers wishes............. Don't take it for granted you'll be in the clear. Especiallly if seller has several K positive feedback!!!!! Rob
