For info purposes, it weighs 1 pound 1 ounce. Then when you add the Box and the Packing material it probably brings it up to three pounds.
That means the shipping except via "turtle" mail may cost more than the cards themselves.

No way it goes into any flat rate envelopes.

See if this link displays for you: (Based on a 3 lb. net weight)

http://ircalc.usps.gov/intl_speed.asp?CID=10150&MailType=package&Pounds=3&Ounces=0

The seller probably figures nobody wants to pay that much. Sort of like a silk shirt which cost $12.00 new and then $18.00 to have it cleaned.

Yes, direct from the auction:
"You are bidding on ONE set of the Harry Potter Premiere Poster Trading Card Sets.  There are only 1100 sets made and I have set ONE and set TWO.  The rarest, impossible to get unless you buy them from me, sets.  This auction is set ONE for sale.  See picture for numbers.  They are coming to you Mint and Never opened."

I salute his salesmanship. Well done. This a box never to be opened. Do you think it will be?

Now an attempt at some satire:

The buyer of this box may rest assured that the Cards contained herein are in the most desired state of mint condition. They are coming to you not only "Mint and Never Opened", but also the new highly desired "Unseen By Human Eyes" MINT CONDITION. Because as we all know, some famous physicist once said (I paraphrase here...don't quote ME!.), "An object can be changed merely by looking at it." So in that spirit, be the first to obtain a box of cards in such a pristine and desired MINT state----"Unseen By Human Eyes." Guaranteed not to have been changed by one errant photon of light. By the way, the buyer of any of my boxes may be asured that all of my boxes have a unique number. I have number 137 of 1100, only one box number 137 was made, you must agree that elusive number 137 is as equally rare as the elusive number 1 of 1100. etc. So, to paraphrase a famous Chicago political saying, please bid early and bid often.

See the other thread about how some new boxes of cards don't even make it to the front door of the house unopend.

PS:
Oh, by the way, The manufacturer knowing that this box would never be opened, actuallity filled with cut pages from old phone books carefully weighed to exactly match the weight of a genuine a box with real cards. (Saves on print runs and minting coins for redemption, too!)

$48.00 presently plus $8.60 shipping. Well done, indeed!

All this is tongue-in-cheek, so the usual no offense meant disclaimer. Just trying to poke a little fun.
I know that I'm a crazy collector, too. RADAR numbers...gimme more. Right, Roz?
No doubt it, I must cancel my subscription to MAD MAGAZINE.

They seller did great. The auction closed at $51.00. Very nice gain for the seller. And I'm equally sure that the buyer is totally satisfied. Number 1 is a very desirable number.

I just got my set today from Sci-fi cards and I'm totally pleased!  Grin  They look better than I thought, and the box is cool too.  There were a lot of posters that I had never seen before so I was suprised with some of them.  Is everyone sending in thier redemption now or waiting?

I think I might have to order one of these sets! What exactly are they? Harry Potter movie posters from around the world, US?
From the pics John posted, they look wonderful, really vivid.

Bitsy, all of the cards seem to be posters in US English.

Martyn, I have no idea what the card will be.

Do you all remember the way the frames on the ULTRA RARE and RARE HP Film  Flipz Cards were made. They are a heavy metal foil that are etched looking.
The silver card frame itching is of four different designs, one design per movie. The Gold cards are also etched looking and with matching movie frame designs of the silver cards

Thank You, John.  Smiley They sound really nice.  I think I may have to splurge on one...the nice thing is they aren't as expensive as a Hobby Box.   Cheesy

I sent my one card in. I think you ought to send them to Artbox's new address:

ARTBOX ENTERTAINMENT

929 Calle Negocio

Unit D

San Clemente, CA  92673  USA

They aren't in Irvine any longer. I wouldn't risk them being lost in forwarding.

Has anyone received their coin cards yet? I sent mine off ages ago and haven't had anything back yet. With all the fun over GOFU I had forgotten about this redemption.
