Hi Everyone!!  I am back from the Philly card show and have some great info for everyone.

First of all, I finally met Tom (Tomunique).  He had a great display with many of the gorgeous Wizard of Oz sketch cards on display that we have seen on his website.  It made me even more excited for this set, as the cards in person are even nicer than anyone could imagine.  There were so many colorful sketches and I have never seen so many colored sketches for a set before.  This should be one of the nicest sets we have seen.  The promos for the set are just amazing with so much color.  The set is expected to release around the second week of May.  I wish you all could have seen the sketches, as I truly can not explain how nice they were Smiley  The set is almost sold out, so if you have not pre-ordered your boxes/cases yet, I recommend you do it fast.  It was great to finally meet Tom and I hope he comes to more shows in the area.

Here is a photo of Tom (on the left) and his associate Mike, who helps Tom Jr. run their other booth at the show selling all sorts of goodies.

Artbox was also there for the first time and it was great to finally meet Mike and Kay.  I saw 10 autograph cards on display at the table (not yet signed), and some samples of the costumes/props, but they did not yet have material in them.  The autos are:

Both Patel sisters (separate cards)
Barty Crouch Jr
Harry Potter
Dumbledore
Cho Chang
Fleur
Madame Maxime (a costume of hers too)
Ginny Weasley
and one more...guy...older...can't remember who  Undecided

Hermione's dress and McGonagal's Green Yule Ball costume are just material used in the making of.  There will be more like this because WB is now wanting to keep the costumes in full.  So they get what they can...  There will be two death eater dual costume/auto cards in the set as well. A prop of the wrapping that Ron's robe comes in.  Cho's Yule Ball dress.  Oh, I know, you want to know what the quad looks like, huh?

Well, it is very nice.  There is one swatch in the center of the card that is divided in to 4 little pie pieces, one for each costume. Then the autos, with the actors picture, one next to each swatch.  Much nicer than I thought it could ever be.  And who is this card of you ask?  The four champions Cheesy

They also have the coin set (chest set) that is coming out soon, which is in a nice box with 38 larger base set cards, and 4 coin cards.  In the picture, you can see the black box they will come in.

They will also be having a CoS set, and another all coin set AND a memorable moments set (which is from all 4 movies and will contain costumes/autos/props), all coming out this year.

Inkworks was also there again.  They will be having another Charmed set coming out in May (called Destiny) and it will be the last set for Charmed they do since this is the last season.  They are also coming out with a LOST season 2 set, which may contain props, but I am not too sure on that one. There is also a new Family Guy set coming out, and Firefly will be coming out as well.

Rittenhouse had a great display of props that will be put in to upcoming sets.  There is a Battlestar Galactica and Star Trek set coming this Spring as well.  I know there is someone else on this forum that may be able to better go over the details with what was on display, as I do not watch the show the props were from and don't even know where to begin Undecided  Sorry about that.

Well, there you have it!

Wow what a day Sara!

Could the 'older guy' signer be Barty Crouch Snr, by any chance?

We have a thread about the WOZ set.  You need to contact the distributors/dealers listed on the Breygent web site to get price quotes.  They probably could also give you the odds on the various insert cards.

The cards you mean?  I asked, and they were not really comfortable with it since they were not finished products.  I completely understand and respect that.

You know, maybe the auto was of Fudge.......again, not sure of that though.

I don't know why I want to say that it did look like him if I can remember correctly, but didn't he just sign in GoF?  With going to Beatlefest the very next day, I knew I should have wrote everything down Embarrassed

I know, we tried.  I wanted to get a picture of the quad card to share, but it wasn't the actual card.  They had binders on the table with colored photo copies of the front and back of the some of the costumes and props, but not all.   But don't worry, in about a month, we will all get to see what all of them look like Wink It's getting exciting!

It could be a minor character from the Quidditch World Cup scene, or something like that.  I'm surprised that there are no autos from the Weird Sisters.

The props on the Rittenhouse table came from various Bond movies - including the Tarot cards Jane Seymour's character used. Frankly, that was the first time I had seen them myself, so I don't remember what else was in the case, and I spent all of about 5 minutes at the Rittenhouse table *lol* I was a little busy with a certain charity event which raised $2500 for ACTOR. It was exciting, but very time-consuming. I'm going to have to seriously reconsider my participation in future events.

Thanks though to everyone who stopped by to give me a brief reprieve (and TALK to me!!) - there were times when I thought I was going to go insane Smiley

I'm surprised that there are no autos from the Weird Sisters.

I don't think trading cards would suit either Radiohead or Pulp (the weird sisters)

Daniel Radcliffe on meeting them

Did you enjoy meeting the members of Radiohead and Pulp who appear in the film as Weird Sisters?
“Radiohead and Pulp are very much my kind of music! Pulp were just fantastic. They were both fantastic, but obviously very different bands. Radiohead, actually, I wasn't that into until about this year when I got into them in a major, major way. OK Computer is starting to become one of my favourite albums. But I was very excited to meet them. I think what I did with Jarvis Cocker, though, because I was so excited to meet him, was I just stood there, smiled a bit stupidly, and made really cheesy jokes. I can't really remember because it's all a bit of a blur. I was so overwhelmed at meeting him. I've been a Pulp fan for quite a long time because my dad was a Pulp fan.”

Did you get to pogo to The Weird Sisters during the ball scene?
“No! Mike did say to me, many many times, if I wanted to be in the scene I could be, but in the end I wasn't because in that scene Harry's a bit of a wallflower, so he just sort of sits somewhere else and sulks. There is always somebody like that at a party; normally it's me.”
