I have to say that looking over this list there certainly is a broad range from the exciting to the downright dull.

First off, the Quad card is an immediate eye-catcher.  I can't imagine how wonderful (and rare) these cards will be.

The costumes - delacour's underwater robe, Herminone's yule ball dress, and Voldemort's Robe - offer a nice breath of fresh air in this set.

The props (depending on variants) could be interesting.....but certainly look a bit more exciting than a bunch of burlap samples.

Only time will tell.....but I think this set is looking up!

But after thinking for a moment, I needed to remind myself that the sweet doesn't taste quite so good without the sour.  So a broad range certianly isn't a bad thing.

I'm with you on that one! Cheesy  Regardless of which characters are represented on the quad card, it's a given that it will be rare.

Do you think that there is a possibility of two different types of Quad cards?  As in a costume quad (containing four costumes) and then a seperate card as a Quad Auto?  It will be mighty difficult to fit those eight things on one simple card.  Though I have seen many sports cards with similar incentives work well.  I guess you never know.

For as rare as these will most likely be, I would almost rather see two different types.  That would provide slightly better odds.

Think about how rare the triple auto was - now add an auto AND four costumes!

You know, that was actually the first thing that crossed my mind...that there would be two different quad cards.

Basicly, I think if there is a quad (all on one card) card we would see some changes. the costume swatches would HAVE to be smaller to make room for the signatures OR they would go the route of a lot of sports cards and do two costume/autos on the front and 2 costume/autos on the back.

I would also prefer two different quad cards. they would look REALLY nice next to each other. Personally though, I think that the triple autograph is very poor in design, and I hope that they change the large white box idea when doing the quad auto card.

I was thinking the same thing.  They would look great next to each other (although they would be in someone else's collection - never mine HA ROFL!)  It just seems that if there are four autos AND four costumes then this really defies the naming as a QUAD card.  Wouldn't OCTO-card or DUO-QUAD card sound more appropriate (suggesting these names in half jest...)

I think the most important factor is that Artbox makes the quad card meaningful.  The most logical conclusion would be that this is a quad card focused on the four champions.  When we all hear the word quad, I think we immediately think the GoF champions for this set.  But what if they are unable to develop a card like this?  Would we be (*gasp*) disappointed if the card has four autos, but the four are not as intrinsically entwined as the four champions?

It could change, as we've seen this happen with previous sets, but for now the release/ship date is April 24.

I'm not sure if that's the first date.  There had been talk of the set being released to coincide with the DVD release, but that obviously didn't happen.  Maybe the April date will stick.

*sigh* There goes my tax return money. I so hope I'm not short changed an auto and prop in this case, like I was for GOF. Any word on if this set is going to have film cards? I've heard both ways thus far. If they did, hopefully they have some cracking bits from the yule ball and from harry and Montymorts battle in the graveyard.  Cheesy

ROFL!  I spent all of my GOFU money on LOTR Evolution sketches. Roll Eyes  At least there's still time to save. Smiley

I've heard both ways about the filmcards, too.

I thought we had heard originally that there would be film cards, but I think based on 5 auto's and 5 props as well as the one costume per box (10 per case) for a total (if the #'s hold) of 20 premium cards per case, we might assume there will not be film cards.  If there were that would likely make it 23ish hits per case which seems to be much more than previous history shows.

Also it would be a situation where if they did film cards in two releases for one set we would likely have many repeat film cells.  Original POA didn't have film cell cards but POAU did.  SS did (no update set for SS) and GOF did (GOFU?).  Who knows but I would venture to guess at this point there won't be film cell for GOFU based on having them in GOF.
