New info on LOTR The Third Age RPG

Well it is really one of the harder fights I have gotten to really. like when I fought the balrog it was just 3 of me, gandalf and him. This time what happens is you help Legolas, killing off orcs on the wall , and you have to kill the ladders or more orcs come up, then when you are done the fight ends but the wall gets blown up and you have to help gimli, no time for rest, time to gain HP or action points ( what you have for special skills, magic or melee) Then  you do the same with Gimli, fighting by the blown up wall until they decide enough has come through. fight ends rest time which you dont really need because when you level up you get all your HP and AP restored. Then you have to run from there to the gate, help Aragorn.. same thing fight orcs for a while ( 3 spots of orcs and I would say atleast 10 monsters per spot) then comes out a troll in the middle you kill him, another troll he is easy to then the troll  captain! he dies and some story line comes in one of your guys thinks it is smart to stay so you have to fight 2 hard hard orcs, and one troll with just your 3 characters no trio help.. easy right? yup it was! then you back up to right before the keep ( sorta in front of where theoden and aragorn are getting on the horses) no time for rest or anything and you have 3 of the tough orcs, 1 troll..but everytime you kill a mob another one pops up. so I try to kill the easiest first and slow every mob I can with the dwarf, they are immune to sleep and paralyze but the computer keeps cheating, it should be my turn and the computer just keeps going and going and going. I got past one round got to the second and I used my "perfect mode" which you get for killing and not dying i guess, and i pick the one where an ent comes out and beats the crap out of everyone, then i get my ass mauled to the floor, every time, time and time again! so I took a break last night and prolly tonight as when you start it is a good couple hours of playing just to get to this part, beat it, die and have to do it all over again!

I will try and let you know, but this is a long game, if I remember right I have about 10-13 hours played time.

Say it isn't so Jason!  Please don't tell me that they did not include a save point so if you get killed you do not have to start the entire level all over again.  That would kill the game for me and not make me want to buy it!

oh there are save points all over the game, but when you fight with legolas, then ginli there is no save, then i found one on the way to fight with aragorn, but from aragorn, to the 1 troll, to the multiple trolls there is no save, you dont even get to move it is fight fight fight, dumb yea but makes it challenging.

I try again tonight, today we fight!

Just to inform you
Helms Deep has been defeated! finally!
So now I have moved on to osgiliath but I saved it and ran like a little girl

Tough tough part of the game, I got lucky I got missed and dodged a bunch in the beginging then busted out my ent attack and kicked ass

Way to go Jason!!    How are the graphics on this one?  Are they the same as the ROTK game?  Keep posting your progress.  Thanks.  Good luck!

Graphics are nice, I mean for a game, I think alittle better then ROTK some closer images. all the baddies look cool to, the balrog was pretty interesting

Do you have access to craft special weapons or find them?  Is the combat like the ROTK game where you use various combos on the game controller to execute moves?

Nope, you find them or get them in battles, chests.

Ok, lets say a battle comes up and you have player 1 first you have the choice of taunting, using an item, using a weapon or a spirit. it isnt like rotk where you have different combos, but you do, like I can choose the 3 hit combo with Berethor, costs me AP but he has 3 swings if he misses one he stops.

So a little different but sorta the same but it isnt constant battle. plenty of time to get up for food

Also I am in osgiliath and it is pretty easy, killed Gothmog today

Great job knocking off Gothmog!!  I hate that sucker especially after he finished off Faramir's friend Madril at Osgiliath by plunging that spear into him when he was laying wounded on the ground.

I saw a clip from the upcoming ROTK EE DVD that shows Aragorn knocking off Gothmog in the battle at Minas Tirith.  I am looking forward to that scene!

So today I decide to fight in os some more. small fights nothing hard or to big then i walk up the bridge and hear, they are coming!
and guess who shows up??

Gothmog again! I guess he wasnt "really" dead! and he is bad this time, died twice but will try a new plan tonight when I should be in bed or studying for my finals!

haha I have a XBrick
and a nice one at that!

I hate PS2, had one and the controllers are retarded, I like the XBrick just because it fits my hand better and I can hit ever buttin without moving my thumb much

That and my XBrick has a 200gig hard drive now

Wow something weird is going on here Jason!  When I typed my last message to you asking which platform you used I know I typed in XBrick and somehow it appeared as Xbrick in my post!!  Do we have gremlins wandering around inside the Yak Shack?

Anyway I have a PS2 and wonder if the gameplay and graphics are the same?

But what do they make? Flight sims and train sims ?

I'd reckon in the console world Sony is definitely king!!!

And as for games, well, all I have to say about that one is Half Life, Zelda, Mario, Electronic Arts (to incorporate all the LOTR games and HP games etc).
