I think I'll take any release date stated with a grain of salt for the time being, at least until I see a second sale sheet come out (once that second one comes out, it seems to be shortly after that the set itself comes out, though I could be wrong or hallucinating on that particular point; ya' never know).

Anyone with me on the opinion that the premiums for the update series is actually better than the original series?

That's the sell sheet darthmactor mentioned in his post. There has been only one so far. Could that really be called a flyer, all it had on it was 2 autos and "Coming In April"

That's all we have for now. I think Sara saw those sheets on the table at the Philly show.

Yeah I have one of those sheets on my table here... there's no doubt about it Mike it's definitely a flyer/sell sheet... it's lacking in info - sure but that's nothing very new Topps always have REALLY cool sell sheets and I like that - but hey ho, not everyone gets everything right 100% of the time

I never thought to ask Sara if she mentioned the woeful lack of up-to-date material on the Artbox website to Mike and Kay when she saw them at the Philly show? Hopefully when they see this post .. *waves enthusiastically to Mike and Kay!*... then they'll do something about it. I hate to be critical and I know they're VERY busy, but they're not doing the company any favours by leaving it to get to it's current state when it's compared to other card manufacturers. I thought the release date had been pushed back by a couple of weeks to early May ... guess we'll know for sure when we start hearing reports of people like Tom, Julio, Ed and the other distributors/dealers asking for their payments for the pre-orders.

Yeah, the sell sheet doesn't give any new info. I didn't mention the lack of info on their website. Maybe they just don't have the time or employees to update it Now, if the date from a distributor is May 2, does that mean that Artbox may still ship to Distributors on April 24, leavint the distributor time to get it and then ship it our to others?

I would say that sounds the likeliest thing to happen Sara. Don't forget there's a Bank Holiday here in the UK on May 1st, so no post gets collected or delivered on that day.

So for those getting their cases drop shipped to them directly from Artbox.....ah, too good to be true . They will probably be delayed from Artbox as well. But I hope not

Has anyone heard anything about the Harry Potter Memorable Moments Set? It's supposed to be released after GOFU? Someone mentioned it on the Non-Sport Update forum. Here is the info I saw: In the new previews - Artbox Announces their First quotable set of harry potter cards. All of the magical memories from all four movies, This set will come packed in special made box, lavishly displing an image from the harry potter films.
72 foil cars, 9 chase cards, Costume, prop and Autograph cards. Each Box will also contain 2 harry potter coins from the Gold Standard Series of coins produced exclusivley by artbox.

I never thought to ask Sara if she mentioned the woeful lack of up-to-date material on the Artbox website to Mike and Kay when she saw them at the Philly show? Just had a look at the Artbox site and noticed a typo ... it says it would be updated weekly. It should have read WEAKLY

It's unacceptable that the autos aren't yet available, but really, who's fault is that? Miranda Richardson. All she has to do is sit down for an hour and sign the damn cards, then pop them in the mail.
