I have just seen this link on another site I visit - not that it is anywhere near as good as the Shack

I think they are fab but I would hate to live near them.  Not sure what the music is (but I think I know a Shacker who will  )

Thanks!  I've been waiting for a friend of mine to send me the link to that!  I think it's really neat too.  I kind of like the music, but not blasting from my nieghbors front yard.

Hmmm well I'm not quite sure what to say to that display, so I'll say nothing
... it would never happen here in the UK as I'm sure the Noise Abatement people would be onto them straightaway, closely followed by the Police who would be moving gawping passers-by and cars from blocking up the street and imagine how many sets of earplugs the folks over the road from them must get through! HAHAHA!! 
Yeah - I'm REALLY glad I don't live close to that light/sound show!

Oh Jules it is so obvious you don't live in Essex, the home of Tack    Every other house has some lights and there is a least one generator draining display on every road.  One road about half an hour from me has to have police traffic controls every year due to the influx of traffic.

Unfortunately it is not my thing, bah humbug.  A few flashing fairies I can handle (the lights I mean  ) but a full blown Close Encounters display is too OTT for me.  But I do like seeing how other people do up their houses and this one really takes the biscuit

I dunno though Sharon - there's a fair few houses in Derby decked out with tack Christmas lights but thankfully none round where I live, and certainly nothing like this display!!

We only have ones going around are porch posts. They can be change 6 different times and play music (you can only hear it inside) but a few people around us went all out. Their whole yard is COVERED

This is a commercial now, I've seen it a few times and I have to stop and watch it, its....creative
