Stargate Figures in 2006

I am a big Stargate and Atlantis fan as some people should be able to tell by some of my posts

I wanted to share some news with other fans who might be interested in collecting the figures that are coming out in the summer of 2006 from Diamond Select Toys (the same people who made the Serenity figures). I am excited about this set because it has to me been a long time in coming.

The first series of figures will consist of Daniel Jackson (my favorite  ), Colonol Jack O'Neill, General Jack O'Neill, and a Serpent Guard.

The General O'Neill figure is supposed to be the rare one at one per case purchased. The figures will come with accessories related to the show (I like Daniel to come with his little Archeology kit myself  The figures of Daniel and the Jacks are supposed to come with a piece of the Stargate so when you get all the figures you can assemble your very own Stargate and the Serpent Guard is supposed to come with a piece of the ramp.

I didn't know if anybody would be as excited by this as I am so I thought I would share the information just in case

I think that's great news.  It's about time!  I can see me getting the figures framed with the stargate model and some of my autograph cards!

I was only planning on getting the three main characters then I found out the Serpent guard would come with a piece of the ramp that would go with the gate 

I am excited about these figures because they stated that if the first series sells good then they would continue to make more figures from both "Stargate SG1" and "Stargate Atlantis". I will probably just end up getting all the figures they produce knowing me     I already have the first set pre-ordered from my local Comic Store and they won't even be coming out until the summer 

I used to just watch the Stargate SG1 and wish they would get merchandise for the show and now I have the cards, comics, and coming soon the figures    I even broke down and bought the Bobbleheads when they were produced and I HATE Bobbleheads because they are so ugly 

My only thought is were in the world am I going to store all of them    

Another SG1 item I am looking forward to is the upcoming Playstation 2 game for SG1 called Stargate Alliance

I wouldn't hold your breath on the Stargate game.  I read somewhere it's been put on hold because the company producing it has gone into administration.  I think they are looking for another publisher.  I could be wrong but I'd have to check back in some of my games mags to be sure.  I know there has definitely been a delay of some kind though.

I heard about this also, but the company who owns the rights to the game stated now that as soon as they find a new production company it will be set to be released again as soon as possible.

They stated it may be sometime in 2006 instead of the planned October 2005 release. The rumors started from a company called JoWood who said that the game was delayed until further notice, then another company called Perception said that they have the rights to the Stargate Alliance game and not JoWood so what the other company stated was wrong. Perception claims to be continuing work on the game, so we shall see what happens.

I hope that the above is true and the game does get released because I would love an SG1 game, and if it is a huge success I wouldn't mind a Atlantis game next 

Next year will be a great year fpr Stargate what with Season 8 cards coming out in February, the figures in the summer, more Comics for SG1/Atlantis, and possibly the game also may be coming out next year. I also know that season 2 of Atlantis and season 9 of Stargate SG1 will be coming out on DVD sometime next year, so I have that to look forward to also

I finally got the first series of the Stargate SG1 figures 

The figures consist of the following:

1. Colonel Jack O'Neill
2. General Jack O'Neill (comes one per case)
3. A Serpent Guard
4. Doctor Daniel Jackson

The Comic Store that I got these figures from were nice enough to give me the Prototype Jack that comes in every 2 cases for free  They said they were giving it to me for placing the order with them 

The Jack figures and the Daniel figures came with a piece of the Gate and the Guard came with a piece of the Ramp, they also all come with accessories that relate to their characters. When you get series 2 which will consist of Thor, Teal'c and Carter you will get the rest of the Stargate and the last piece of the ramp. These figures won't come out until the fall though.

These are very neat figures and a great part of any Stargate collection 


I just thought I would add this to the post above since I don't want to double post 

Series 2 of these figures are set for release this Novemeber and they consist of the following:

1. Thor
2. Carter
3. Teal'c (Previews Exclusive)

Series 3 (coming in February consist of)

1. Black Ops Daniel
2. Vala
3. Mitchell
4. A Prior (the guy who played the cigerette smoking man in The X-Files)
5. Avalon Vala (Previews Exclusive)

I already pre-ordered mine so I thought other Stargate fans might want to know what was coming up with these sets of figures
