Since this is the Beauxbatons Card thread I thought I'd ask,

Have we seen any variant besides folded fabric?

I remember seeing them run in, in the movie, and it looked like there was a darker material underneath that part that hangs around the shoulders.  I think that might be where the material is from.  But I could be wrong.

I was looking at the outfit because I was trying to figure out where the dark blue was from.  I didn't even think about the outfit at the end Tongue

So, in reality there are two costume cards with the same number.
The arrival costume in light blue and
The Departure costume in dark blue.

Like Krums
The Brown shirt
The Red vest

You are probably correct.
I thought I saw a photo somewhere where he was wearing a dark Brown Shirt.

You did, but I think someone said the material on the swatch seemed very different than the material of the shirt.  Not sure though.  I don't actually have either of these cards (Krum or Beauxbatons) to tell.  Although, I do want both Wink

It looks like it could be that to me, looking at the picture posted the cuffs are a darker material which looks like it could be the same as the lining (the cuffs look like they are just folded up)

From the pictures of the costumes on display that were posted somewhere on the forum, my conclusion was that the brown was from his pants and the red from his shirt/jacket thing.

Are you talking about Viktors Champions outfit?

I am not convinced that they don't sometimes put the swatches in backwards and it is the underside of the fabric. Undecided

I guess if we knew the process we could figure that out, I bet Tom would know (as he must also know the process for making costume cards) if someone wants to know bad enough try sending Tom an email.

Are the cards made by hand or machine process?  I can't imagine that they would use Victors pants why wouldn't they make that a whole different card?  If I am correct on this Victors card is a "material used in the making of" card, do they make custom fitted pants for the costumes?

It's all so confusing, but here goes with orange (tan didn't show up good), brown and red color coding  Grin:
Card C5 is material used in the making of Viktors champions shirt ONLY. # to 400.  A tan color with occasional varients.

Card C4 is Authentic costume material worn by Viktor # to 700.  They never say if it is shirt, robe, pants or other.  In the photo on card C4 he is wearing the champions shirt pictured on card C5, but the material in the C4 swatches comes from:
1.)  The red robe shown in the photo.
2.)  The brown pants not shown in the photo, but known to be part of his champions uniform.

So basically, if you compare both cards C4 and C5, both are his champions costume.  C5 contains the shirt and C4 contains either material from his red robe or his brown pants.
