Revenue at the theaters does not necessarily mean revenue for trading cards.

I love the McDonald's gift cards though, and since we eat there ALL THE TIME, I'll definately be picking some up Smiley I was at KB over the weekend but didn't see theirs Sad

Ah well, back to work I go singing pirate ditties as I am one of the very few (apparantly) who has NOT seen the movie - no babysitter Sad

And if I can't find one of the three at my nearby McD's, I'll be emailing you Wink

I haven't yet checked B&N or Borders to see if either has POTC cards...

Found an image of all 5 cards - bet you can't guess where  Roll Eyes

I did wonder about mentioning that Wink but I think this is one case which would have done well.

I finally got around to seeing it and the critics can go and get stuffed - I loved it! Grin I thought Orlando and Keira improved alot from the first movie and Depp was, as usual, pure class ROFL! Loved all the references to POTC 1! I liked the somewhat changed appearance of one particular returning character... no spoilers, but rweowr Kiss Wink

The twist at the end was soooooooo cool... I can't wait to see how that will turn out - next year can't come quickly enough Grin Grin Grin

****SPOILER****

When they were kissing at the end with the Kraken about to destroy the Pearl, I thought Jack chained himself to the mast at the end, not Elizabeth?? Or did I miss something?

I saw it yesterday and loved it!  My husband didn't care for it as much.  What does he know? Wink  Jo, that character did look better this time around. Smiley

Possible, weak spoiler

When Jack is crawling onto the plank of wood after the Kraken sinks the first ship (the one that rescued him whne he jumped off Davy Jones' ship) - Did anyone think that he looked like Aragorn??

Or am I just obssessed with that darn trilogy? Cap'n

Cindy - my boyfriend loved it... he didn't look at his watch once! ROFL!

I didn't think so! But maybe that would explain Elizabeth's downhearted mood at the end - are you going to FORCE me to see it again to make sure? ROFL!

...PS - can't wait to see it again ROFL!

Never you mind about that Roz... I'll go and see it again to save you the trouble.

No really - I INSIST Crewman

 ROFL!

SPOILER (Again)

See, I thought Jack took it mighty calmly for a bloke who had been chained to a ship about to be destroyed by a Kraken... I'd only look like that if I knew what I was doing, i.e. if I had done it myself.

Maybe I'm wrong, but didn't Jack have a scared/surprised expression on his face when the Kraken showed up after he was chained?

spoiler (since I can't figure out how to make the text so you can't see it)...

It's all Elizabeth's doing. She apologises to him and says she doesn't regret anything. And yes, Jack does look surprised as well and you can see Elizabeth moving him towards the mast. I think he's calm becuase he's resigned himself to his fate...

I'm seeing it for a third time tomorrow and mean to keep a close eye on a couple of scenes/things that I think are hints of something important...

Oh nuts. I wished it wasn't so and that he'd found that which Elizabeth was hoping he would find Sad

Time to see it again, I think. Poor me Wink

Well you can't fire me for not trying, I've just been to the cinema, it's a TUESDAY evening... the slowest evening in any cinema and although there were 2 showings after the time I went for they were ALL SOLD OUT! This is going to make crazy box office figures!

We went to our usual cinema to see it (Tuesday night also) and all sessions were sold out as well!!! We didn't expect that as it has been out for a week (although it is school holidays here). We managed to get into another, quieter cinema, but that was pretty much capacity as well. Like you say, I can't wait to see the box office figures! Shocked

I saw it a few days ago and LOVED it. I thought re-hashing some of the old jokes at the start was a bit erm silly or corny maybe but there were a couple of ones that I did enjoy again. It was really really good but I cant believe that we now have to wait so long to see the next one  :'(

*It was definately deliberate by Elizabeth, she did chain him up and then Jack looked at her and said 'pirates' (as in 'bloody pirates' from the first movie) so he knew what was going on and that she had just 'sacrificed' him to save the others*

*Thanks for clearing that up Trey! Now we know why Elizabeth looked so depressed... I would too if I had chained Johnny Depp up and just LEFT him there Evil ROFL!

I know what you mean... the last (while very cool) scene just left us hanging so badly... is it not 2007 yet? Praying

We went to a Monday 11 a.m. showing and there were only a few seats left in the theater when the movie started.
