Also, since we have it at home now, my husband may end up visiting this sit under my ID........... Undecided  Maybe he should get his own........

Anyway, I am so excited, I just wanted to share the news!!  Cheesy

Ah Sharon, wishful thinking, but thanks for remembering.  The answer is....No :'(

When our Internet crashed, and I kept calling my sister to have her bid on things for me, I realized I needed good internet and fast.  Plus, it is nice to be able to use the phone at the same time.  My husband just asked me today if we still needed a new PC now that we got the internet working correctly, and I reminded him that the game he bought me last year for Christmas is not compatible with our PC, so yes, I still need a new one. Not to mention, other games I wanted to pick up are not compatible as well...... I have been saving for a new one though, but for now, I am just happy to have better internet Smiley

Yes Roz, in fact, I said to my husband last night, that we will never lose an auction again ROFL!  Of course, we all know that there are others who will always bid more than I go.  Half the problem befpre was having to guess how much time I needed to place a bid in order to do it in the last seconds.  Normally, there was always enough time left for someone to outbid me.  Things may change Evil

It is just great.  Especially because I can be on the phone while my husband is looking something up!!!   To me, this is worth every penny.  And we got DSL's slower service, but it is so fast, I can not imagine what their faster service would be like......I need to check my bill and make sure they set me up for the right one. lol.

I just love that we have our PC priorities right  ROFL!  The only time I get a new PC is to play a new game  ROFL!  Other people go into a shop and ask if it has this mega thingy or that pixel wotsit.  We just say 'Can it play Harry Potter'  ROFL!

How true.  As this is the only reason I need a new PC  ROFL!  Although, Harry Potter gets played on the PS2 with the TV.  But I love Zoo Tycoon, Zoo Empire, Roller Coaster Tycoon, etc, and my PC doesn't allow me to play the new versions.  And a new one called "The Movies" is coming out soon too that I just have to own.

I will admit, I know a lot more about computers now than I ever did before.  I can actually go to a store and sound like I know what I am talking about, even though I really don't Tongue

Oh wow.  Glad to hear everything is working out for you!

I remember the good old days of the 14.4 modem.  Webpages were certainly MUCH less picture intensive, and I remember sitting and waiting as images would slowly....slowly.......slowly load.  I'll never forget the good old dialtone signal either.....(pine)

Looks like I'll be the last one to ever get DSL!!!  Roll Eyes

I live outside city limits where cable services are not available yet!!!  I once called a local company to see if service was available here yet and they told me that I live on the wrong side of the road!!!!  Roll Eyes  I told them they need to look again!! About 90% of the homes are on my side of the road!!!!  Roll Eyes

Oh No!!!  I was going to tell you that for a low monthly payment, it is well worth it, but if it is not available for you.....that just sucks!  I thought I was the last one listening to that dial tone!

Although as far as cell phones go, I till have the old original Nokia....

WOOHOO! Congratulations on getting DSL at home!!!  Welcome to the wonderous experiences that DSL offers Grin

We got DSL earlier this year, and we have a Wireless Network that allows three of our computers to be using the DSL line at the same time ... there not much difference when all three of us are on (unless something big is being downloaded) ... one of us could even be on the phone Wink It's GREAT!

I hope you continue to enjoy it for some time Smiley

You guys will have to post in the games section your opinions on The Movies after you have played through it.  I have been really interested in this one for awhile, but still have my reservations.  From what I understand, the developers were almost done with the game over a year ago, and then took it and retooled the interface to allow more point and click interaction.  But this could be a good one if they do it just right.
