Well I watched the first one and a half seasons but then they took it off TV here in Australia....I was a huge fan of the show and my favourite character was Lex so I really really want to get a Michael Rosenbaum auto...the set looks nice but because I haven't been watching the series I wont be getting it, will just try for the Lex luthor auto on ebay.

Anyone else interested in this set??

I think it's a stellar lineup for a change.  I'll definitely be ordering more than I did for Season 3!

I havent collected the other sets but I have been watching my smallville dvd sets and realised how much i love the show...so i might look into it  Cheesy

Well, being one of those nasty dealer-types, 'spares' is a relative thing. Evil  But I've also been known to trade now and then.  I'll definatley have lots of this around after release.

All 3 sets so far have been pretty nice.  Some of the best autos were in the first 2 sets, but there have been good costumes for all the sets.  Inkworks does a nice (if predictable) job on the sets.  With only the 9 card puzzle, 6 card foil, and 3 box loaders, the basic chase set is fairly easy to put together.  I've got quite a bit around, if you want to do some trading for base sets and see if you like them after that, let me know.

I am sooooooooooo hyped about this set. especially after the poor lineup they had for season 3.

I hadn't touched season 3 apart form the base set and promos, but now they released the lineup for season 4i have started to track down down basic chase and auto/pieceworks for season 3 too Smiley)))

Well done inkworks!!

I agree RupT, season 3 set looked pretty disappointing, well especially the auto lineup...but season 4 looks pretty good.

I got my first ever smallville cards in the post today...3 cards in one auction. Pete (Sam Jones III) Auto Card A8, Pete pieceworks season 1, pete pieceworks season 2...all for what I think is a very good price...

http://cgi.ebay.com.au/ws/eBayISAPI.dll?ViewItem&item=6218285171&rd=1&sspagename=STRK%3AMEWN%3AIT&rd=1

It only cost me $30 Australian for all 3 cards including delivery  Grin

I don't collect Smallville, nor have I looked at many auctions. But, that looks like a great price to me!!! Two Pieceworks and an Auto Shocked How many boxes, if any, are you getting of Season 4?  (Was this set released, yet?). I hope you can get that Luthor (Michael Rosenbaum) Auto if you get any Praying

I've been tempted to layaway Smallville Season's 1 and 2 at our Wal-mart because they're only $19.98 each.

Yes season 4 has been released already...I dont know if I will get any boxes, will just save up and get the Lex auto I think...I dont know yet. There are a heap of great season 4 cards out there now though..I am tempted!

With season 1 the costumes and autographs were only 'randomly inserted' so there was no guarantee that you would get one. With season 2 onwards there was a guarantee, one costume and auto per box..so it would be good if you could get season 2 cause at least then you can get some good inserts.

Either way, good luck on getting the Lex Auto. From what I saw of this season, I really liked Lois Lane. When I saw the TV Spots for the addition of her character, I wasn't too impressed. Then, the season began, and I thought she was awesome. I had a hard time deciding which character I liked better Cloe or her Undecided Season 4 had such a good start!

I completely forgot to mention that I was talking about the Season 1 & 2 DVD Sets Embarrassed I wish I could pick up a box for that price! Sadly, Wal-mart only gets retail versions of cards. Last I checked, they still had Revenge of the Sith Retail Boxes from sometime in the summer Tongue

haha woops didnt realise...derh I really should have, but u can pick up a hobby box of season 1 for about $29 on ebay.

I have only seen Season 1 (a few times) and half of season 2. I have the season 2 box set that im working through now and am looking to get the season 3 one too. The season 4 one isnt out here in australia yet. It was really stupid what they did with the show though....they showed the first season on tv here and like a quarter of the second season, then just stopped showing episodes. So the only way I can see them now is by buying the dvd sets (which i dont mind anyway cause I love the show)
Same kinda thing happened with Roswell... season 3 episodes were on at random times of the week..and at really late times so I missed alot of season 3 and I am dying to get the dvd set but its not out here in australia yet  :'( oh well i will wait

That's a good price for a box, but with no guarantee, it would be hard to spend the money rather than just buy the inserts.

If I were in your shoes, I would be reading all the spoilers and everything because I would want to know what happened next if I were midway through a season. I can't say that I've seen a lot of episodes either. I saw a lot of Season 1 and 2 episodes rerunning on Fox Family. I missed pretty much all of Season 3, but I caught the final episode before Season 4.  Buying the DVD Sets sounds like a good idea for me Wink Our Fox Channel shows the new season of all the WB shows at 1:00 AM, but I always seem to forget Undecided

Anyways, it's a great show. I'de love to branch out and start collecting these sets, but I have my hands full with the HP, CatCF, and NBC (not so much this one) card sets.

I just picked up 2 Smallville S1 boxes for $90 CDN inc. shipping to me1
That was from Tom (as in tomunique)

I dont think that I would bother buying from anyone else for those boxes.
As he is a reputable dealer on here & e-Bay, and did not hesitate.

I will post here with my breakdowns...
