Well done  Grin  It is no more than you deserve.  From now on I will email all sellers to get them to say the words factory sealed in an Ebay email.  Fingers crossed Anna gets a good result as well.  Smiley

Let me tell you a little story. I bought 2 "Factory Sealed"  UK case of HP POAU cards, at a bargain price. (Ah, yes, the proverbial bargain price.) As luck (?) would have it neither of the cases had case topper cards. .......Ummmm,I wonder why? (Indeed) I wrote the seller and he informed me that he had bought them form a dealer in the UK who was in need of some $$$; he said he got them for a "bargain price" and was happy to pass on the savings. To make a long story short, my seller did send me two case topper cards. All is well that ends well. ....Ummmm, or is it.

I opened the cases and begain to break down the boxes. The box breakdown was pathetic. In the two cases I got 3 autograph cards and very few other premium cards. Now, we have all broken down boxes from cases and we know that 3 autos in two cases is terrible.

One could leap to some dark conclusions here.  Cap'n  Let me paint you mine. (Hindsight is always 20-20, right?)
Let's say for discusions sake that, in this case, UK dealer X   Cool (Not to single out any particular country, it could have just as well have been USA dealer Z.  Cool), buys 100 cases of POAU cards. He opens the cases and after a few he determines that there seems to be a certain, more or less, predictable pattern in the way cards appear in the box layout in the case.  Shocked  Of course, all of the case toppers are carefully set aside. After a few dozen cases he has set aside the boxes he feels less likely to contain autographs, props, filmcards and costumes. To be sure, the pattrern is not totally perdictable. Anyway the dealer puts 50 or 60 boxes back into cases and reseals them without putting in a case topper. Ooops Grin
He calls his distributor and says....oh for example  :'(  :'( , "Hello, Dick, say, I've bought a few more cases of POAU than I needed. Do you suppose we might work out a refund or credit on my next purchase...." Well, the deal is made.  Grin
And before you can say, "Bob's your uncle." , here I am spinning dark sceanarios....Just call me older and wiser.  ROFL!
The question arises, who is at fault? Answer, Me...."stupid is as stupid does". those who do not profit from history are doomed to repeat it. I never buy re-imported cases of cards (from anywhere).

If you're told that the cases are factory sealed, what else are you supposed to believe?  You didn't do anything wrong, John.  Somewhere along the distribution line, someone took advantage of you and probably others, too.  If the original dealer is the person I suspect it to be, you weren't the only one to get cheated.

I guess it comes down to buying only from dealers you trust (which can be hard for someone who's new to card collecting).  I've had a terrible run with some bad sellers over the past few months, and now I won't take a chance with a seller who isn't recommended by someone here, unless the price is so low that it's worth taking a chance.

Valerie, I am glad you got some of your money back.  Better than nothing.  I meant to ask though, did you get any autos in those boxes?

The boxes were from the Charmed Connections series so they dont have autograph cards.

I still haven't gotten a reply back from the seller. Undecided   John, have you received your boxes yet from him?

I got four boxes. Three were Factory sealed. One was not. He elected to ignore my request to do anything about the one that was not. It had been definitely cherry-picked. It had no foils or premium cards at all. Some of the packs were partially open at the end to reveal the contents and some packs were even ripped. It's his lose, I'll never buy from him again. Which is no big deal, because as you all know I'm not a big spender anyway. Grin

I hope you're going to leave him negative feedback, John.  The seller deserves it for what he did to you and a lot of other people.  It does make you wonder how many people bought from him and didn't realize that their boxes had been cherry picked and resealed.

Was the seller's ID videopsycho?  I just want to double check so I don't go near his auctions.
