Are we allowed to put our names on a gift tag, or should it be a suprise? (it will be on the customs form anyway i guess...)

Its how we played it in school, no-one knew who got what from whom just incase some could afford more than others. In reality, everyone found out somehow, but it was the intention I guess. I didn't tell my Santee who I was last time (nor did my Santa tell me who they were).

Of course if people prefer to know who their Santa is, we could go down that path this year

Well signatures aren't usually readable. But don't they usually like a return address on the parcel? Although if you put your initials, unless you know the parcel receiver well they might not realise  Undecided

I think Ill prob just put my name on it-its easier than getting someone else to send it, plus I want to put a return address on just in case. and honestly, there are only two of us in Melbourne, Australia, so its pretty obvious anyway  Grin

Are people getting gifts already?  Are you opening them?  I am dying to know what everyone got.  I did not participate, but still want to hear what you all get.

Hello everyone!! HAPPY THANKSGIVING!! It will be here before you know it.. and Christmas will be around the corner...and for those of you waiting to open gifts from your Secret Santa, it will seem like forever! lol Grin Well I am kinda like rns91294..I have a huge family to buy for, (but would like to try to get in next year?) Hopefully I can get started sooner with MY family and finish faster so that I have a little more money left over, for the Secret Santa. Any way I would like to know what everyone gets too. so I hope you will post, for those of us that have to make do with watching the festivities! lol It sounds like you are all going to have a GREAT time, finding, wrapping, sending and finally getting to OPEN your presents. This is a GREAT idea. wish I had the money to join in. (I think I spent most of it on cards)  Roll Eyes

Please let us all know what you get we will be waiting patiently.

I sent off my package today.  Grin

To the person who gets it-I'm not a very good wrapper, so don't laugh!

Sent mine off today as well.  It has a long trip ahead of itself, so I hope it makes it in good shape.

I, however, am a good wrapper so if I get laughed at... :'(

I also realized how tough it is to be anonymous or much of a surprise when you have to fill out customs paperwork.  Full description and full name of the sender.  Oh well, we'll just pretend it's a secret. Roll Eyes

I posted mine over the weekend.

It is hard to be anonymous, which is why we had this discussion a few weeks back. I did work out though that for Aussie customs forms, only a signature goes on the actual package, the bit with full name address etc stays with the post office... but given Im one of about 6 Aussies on here, it will still be fairly easy to work out...
