COS Book Help

I've been looking for another COS book for a while now but I'm having no luck. I'm not really worried about it after book 7 comes out and they released the box set with all seven I'll be getting that but I want a nice set right now.

My COS book was bought at a yard sale back in 2002 when the movie came out because I wanted to read the book after the movie (I do for everyone). The book was $11.80 so I thought it was a bargin at the time. There are some problems, well not really problems, more like writting on the book. Someone used a pen and outlined harrys wrist where his shirt is. Used a penciel on Fawkes neck, Harrys scarm and nose and traced the fire on the left lantern. There are alot of indications that someone was writting on another piece of paper on the book countless time and on the inside cover. The book might be a first edition because the numbers 10 9 8 7 6 5 4 3 2 1 are printed on the inside.

One things that troubles me thought is that the silver letters on the cover and spine are not 3D but 2D, flat like the jacket. Doesnt looked scanned and is printed on the same type of paper like the others and its not a boot-legged book because I've read it. Everything is like a normal one all except for this error.

Plus, the book (without jacket) is completely black. Not like the normal solid color then a diamond pattern like on the other ones.

Can you guys help me figure out this "mystery"?
