Thanks.... Lost interest after you discovered Artbox?....I can't imagine why...  I'm doing it for completeness. The Pictures are nice, but the backs seem to chip on the edges too easily. Plus of course, no inserts or chase cards. The foils are also somewhat dark. |

Yeah the foils where the one saving thing but the best I got of them was Hagrid. I think I got either Crabb, or Goyal and Filtch  Also they were £2 a packet  |

Hey John I have 27 of the cards you need - not bad huh  I think that's enough to complete you another set, I'll PM you the numbers so you can tick them off. I need some myself so I'm going to post the numbers here if that's ok with you - I desperately need 43 (x2 if poss) 63 (x2 if poss) In 2 boxes I got one set and was only those short of another 2 full sets which was a bit frustrating! If anyone can help then let me know. Ta muchly! |

Thanks Roz, you can tick off your needs for F10, 31, 40, and 60.
Did these boxes come new with a cellophane wrapper like the Artbox cards?
I'm keeping one box for the heck of it.

I got 3 boxes from our favorite Yak Shacker and the box says £1.99 since I only paid £6 plus a little  for the 3 boxes I thought it meant £2 for the entire box. You'd have to be LOCO to pay £72 for a box of these cards. My word, I am in shock. Of course then again, I'm accustomed to paying $50.00 +/- for Artbox Hobby boxes. |

Yeah there's a little history on this one. I did pay £2 for one packet for "research purposes" but they were also stuck to the front of a comic book the "Beano" which I think cost 80p a comic. So I remember people bought a lot of copies They were never sold as boxes really (i.e. cards inc didn't distribute to our normal dealers at first), and sold only through retailers like WH Smith, and they had a binder of their own. It's smaller than the normal one and fits 4 cards per page. Another set that cards inc produced around the same time was Thunderbirds and that had no seal on the box (so you could NEVER buy it from anyone you didn't trust, especially since the pattern for cherry picking was painfully obvious!) P.S. Thanks John  now just 2 cards (twice) missing Lots and lots of spares if anyone else is trying to put this together! |

Yeah I have seen boxes since for £10 jeez. And ok it was £1.99 not £2.00 but whats a penny wirth these days. I did indeedy get mine from WH Smiths. I couldn't be;eive it the other day they had a box of HP stickers only they looked Pre WBs (drawering rathe that photos) I have no idea where they dug them up from.

After having looked at the cards again, I've decided that they aren't too bad. The backs are terrible, like I said. They seem to chip at the corners and edges very easily. It must be the raw materials they used in manufacturing them. The lack of foil on the front is not unattractive. The FOIL cards themselves are still too dark though, I think. I see they put the check list on the back of the Title card but, they don't list the FOIL character cards. Not bad I suppose for a first effort, if it was indeed the first effort. I haven't seen the other set/sets they have made.

Other set? Cards Inc have made cards for years, but perhaps they didn't use the same manufacturer as I have to say it's good to have spares of each card so you can pick through for the best  |
