Darren (Cards Inc) has also let us know about an interesting new set that will be out before PoA update. It will be a retail type set -

We are able to confirm that there will be an additional series of cards
by Artbox this August.

They will be a Harry Potter and the Prizoner of Azkaban Film Cards Release.
It is expected that these will be a very very limited release production.
The product will have 1 or 2 levels of chase cards but will NOT have any
autos/costumes/props. This product is intended for the retail market. It is
expected to be a 72 card set.

Super duper, do you think it is worth getting this set. I think buying the base set for £5 when you go to a convention is the best option. Do they have signing conventions australia  Huh I am sure i heard of one where Dom Monaghan was meant to turn up but went to hawaii instead to shoot for a film

Yeah, I heard about that one... it was in Canberra and I was going to go, but something came up and I couldn't. Lucky i didn't... would have been a waste of time... Embarrassed

To answer your question Ben, there haven't been anything like what you guys in the US/UK get like comic con, collectormania etc which is a pity

You would have thought that Australia or New Zealand would have a LOTR comic con, since its where it all took place, instead us british get to see nearly all the big stars when the U.K had nothing to do with LOTR. I would also imaging Australia and New Zealand has more LOTR fans  Undecided

I guess they have to take into account that there are substantially fewer people in Aus/NZ than in the US/UK and that they might not get their money's worth - people here may think paying $40-60 AUD for an autograph is a bit OTT. BUt as you said, it was thanks to NZ that LOTR was even here at all - and some fine Aussie actors there as well with major roles - could you have seen Eowyn, Galadriel, Elrond, Faramir and Denethor played by anyone else?  Embarrassed I reckon PJ should put up his hand for something like comic con here, I think he might have abit of weight to throw around what with those 11 gold statuettes and all Wink

All in all, very disappointing Angry

You WILL read the book!!!

I have a spare copy of the Silmarillion I have been meaning to send you for a while - but don't start with that - you have to start with the Hobbit - it's easier going than LOTR and you get to meet Gandalf from the start!

On chapter 5/6 of goblet of fire. FIRST thing i notice was harry was supposed to fall 50 feet of his broom in POA instead in the film he falls over 300 feet lol. Also George and Fred are supposed to be of a stocky build and not lanky like ron and percy it says in GoF. Well the phelp twins certainly dont match that criteria  Wink

Yea i think they did better in the previous films unlike POA but it was still great. I guess we just didn't see or hear enough of them in POA. We didnt see enough of anyone to be honest  Undecided
