The winner of the lot of autos, costumes, and prop cards has just emailed me saying that they won the auction and that when he told his wife she blew up and it caused a big fight and he is not going to be able to pay for the auction.  I don't know if this is a "story" or if he just decided that he did not want the auction after all.  I obviously can't force him to buy the lot, so should I offer it to the second high bidder (who is a member of this forum) or just relist it, or possibly break it up and list it individually.  Like I had mentioned before this is the contents of my hotbox, so I was perfectly content with the selling price (although with box prices at $200 it is definetly on the low end)  I am just curious what you guys think.  The winning bidder has offered to pay the final auction fees where the auction ended so high, so that will help.  Thanks

He doesn't need to pay for the fees.

Go to the non paying bidder thing and fill in saying you have "mutually agreed not to continue with the transaction".

Neither of you get anything bad on your records and you get your money back.

I haven't seen what the auction went for but if you are happy with the price I'd go for the second chance offer - especially if it means a forum member gets a full set.... and the box price is totally disproportionate to the price of the cards so I shouldn't cut yourself up about that.

Go with the second highest bidder if you are OK with that price.  Make the winning bidder pay auction fees plus something for the inconvenience.

I believe his story, but I also think he maybe didn't have that kind of money to be putting into it anyway.

He should also be flogged by orcs for being stupid enough to:
1. Not realize his wife was going to blow up
2. Being stupid enough to tell his wife he spent $2,700 on HP POA cards.  You think he would have thought ahead of time..Hummm  will my wife be mad if I spend multiple mortgage payments on HP cards....naaaa

Plus any cards you can keep in the forum are a ++++

It was actually none other than you sonarghost Smiley  So let me know if you are interested.  If not, I will most likely break it up and sell it individually.  I think I could get more out of it that way anyways, but I thought that it was good fortune on my part to get it the way I did and wanted the whole lot to go to one owner, I really hate to have to break it up.  Plus I would rather send one package than like 25 Smiley

You may be better off selling it all separately... I am sure alot of forum members will be more than happy to take up some of these cards and it will save you some listing fees on ebay!

Keep it in the family, that is my vote I hope everyone in the forum gets on top of my cards I am selling.  I have to recoup some of my $$$ as I just bought 5 cases of LOTR ROTK update and will be trying to complete that costume set.

I have most of the cards you could want up for auction on ebay.

Samwise if you win the Lupin I will give you free shipping as you have asked for trade on that many times and Saruman if you win the Rosmerta free shipping to you also as you have asked many times for that one.
