Please let us know if you get your auction win won't you Douglas - paying by cheque doesn't offer the best protection when buying I know, but if that's all you could use then you didn't have much option!
Wonder why he's no longer registered on ebay with this particular incarnation?
It could be a temporary glitch with his account ...

Will do - It is a real pity as Richard has always been a friendly and efficient
I just hope any current problems he may have sort themselves out OK

What concerns me more is the regularity with which his accounts become unregistered on ebay.
I'll keep my fingers crossed for you and hope whatever you've bought from him arrives quickly and in good order!

What the heck?? Richard has been away at memorabilia so he probably doesn't know this, I'll give him a call in the morning and give him the good news
But why? He has 100% feedback right? Or he did last time I checked!

Really is a puzzle about Richard as I've not had problems with him and he had 100% positive feedback

From what Douglas posted it looks as though ebay did the deed sometime on Friday as there are no new feedbacks left since then.
I'm sure we'd all like to know what's happened to his account this time please Roz and I'm equally sure there will ppl on here who will want some reassurances that they will indeed receive the items they've won and paid for ...
Just because he's been away at Memo shouldn't mean is account gets nixxed Roz.

Most likely if he's been having paypal problems the new "law" that paypal have brought in (that you have to accept paypal in all forms when selling - not just cleared funds etc etc) may have made him unable to sell on ebay - to be honest, that's all I can think of - I need to check up on that "law" really - they make up more and more rules daily to double their profits!

I didn't realise that Paypal had amended their terms Roz!
I would imagine that them both being part of the same company will have had it's impact too because of this new 'ruling' - they certainly have you in a stranglehold don't they!

To be honest it doesn't bother me personally because I already accept credit card payments, but it's annoying for those who don't! You see once you accept CC payments on your account paypal then charge you to receive payments - EVEN FROM CLEARED FUNDS (which I add - costs them nothing), so a lot of people are furious.

I have emailed to tell him I'll be happy to leave feedback when possible

Thank goodness!!
I saw his ebay account was up and running once more and I'm glad he got in contact with you when he received your payment, as I know he can be slow-to-non-existant when it comes to answering his emails!
It's good to know there's been a happy ending and you have your card Douglas, I'm delighted for you!
Roz - I hadn't realised you got charged by Paypal on cleared funds too! It's no wonder ppl are so furious.
