Has anyone noticed the change in the number of auctions listed at the top right hand corner of this site?
I noted that when we started with that particular search we caught 100-140 auctions most of the time, but now it's down to between 40 and 55 most of the time.
Part of me wants to change the search so we can catch more things, auto as well as autograph, poter as well as potter etc, but the other part of me wants to leave it as it is to see how many auctions there are.
This set must be drying up, either that or people are not madly happy with the current prices and so are not selling. Are there many cases left still? Has anyone looked?

331 items found for "potter stone" in Trading Cards
55 items found for "potter stone" in Action, Adventure (btw only GBP auctions)
So i think there are still the same numbers of auctions.

So you think people are just changing the wording of their listings not to include autograph, prop or costume... that would be very strange behaviour indeed.
I am going to change the top link to include auto and spelling variants so it will go up later today, but I think the rare cards are getting put up MUCH less often

Anna could give a better assessment, with all of the price guide work she does, but I think there are fewer listings. I do a very broad search that pulls up books and DVDs in addition to cards. There seems to be fewer of all types of cards, especially the props.
It's to be expected. The set was released two months ago and there was a big flurry of eBay activity in June.

I tend to search "potter stone card"; it seems to pull up about 150 auctions which ship to Aus...

I search for harry potter under the trading cards category... on Ebay US, it was about 1200 auctions at its peak but has been declining steadily to about 800 auctions or so... thats including all HP cards, so I guess I would enter Stone or SS as well in there for that set only

Yeah there's still PLENTY of PoAU out there to plump up those auctions, and then there's people who seem to have the patience to list each and every base card individually - those guys really are brave

I've never understood why anyone would list one base card, or any item with the potential to sell for $1 or less. Once you pay eBay listing and final value fees, then PayPal fees, there's almost no profit.

Well I put my card up as auto because I ran out of room in the title. But there do seem to be less which is bad because I am no where near finished

And there are even less now that Cardvault is no longer a registered user. Does anyone know what has happened to Richard (formaly MPC)? Also I am still waiting for a few things I bougt from him at the end of May. If you click on the buy it now at the bottom of the ebay search there are currently 98 itms but on;y 49 auction items. Audrey's Vintage Non-Sport is great as she welcomes offers and is a great seller. I have bought a few things from her and I have always been very happy.

Has CardVault bitten the dust as well My theory is that there are loads and loads of unopened boxes/cases out there. It wouldn't surprise me if only 600 cases or so have actually been opened. There will probably be a rush of auctions next week after the book is out.

Yeah I am sure there's a bit left sealed, maybe less than 200 cases but who knows Try looking for cardvault247 - Angie - do you have Richard's number to check up if everything is ok with your order? That's too long!

Also I am still waiting for a few things I bougt from him at the end of May. I won a BIN auction from Richard on June 30th and I received it on July 8th. I live in the US. You should have gotten your cards by now.

There's still some good auctions to be had out there. I just got this card: in the mail today. Argus Filch's Coat, #145/360, got it for $3.51 on ebay. Not bad if I do say so.

I was shocked. I bid and went out thinking I was definitely going to be outbid. Sometimes this happens, although for me, it is rare. Now I need to wait for it to arrive.
Your deal, however, was awesome! I don't have that card, but if I could get it under $10, I would. And to think, you got it under $5!!!

Try looking for cardvault247 As of yesterday cardvault247 has also been " No longer registered with eBay" - the last feedback for him went on at 14:15 on August 12 He certainly couldn't be paid by Paypal earlier in the week either - so I paid by cheque
