2nd in command? PAH! I shall lead the revolution!!

Hi guys, well it's been out a while, but it's taken me this long to get a master set - to be fair to me it's only available in America, (or Japan in it's native form), and the collation (although I was only 5 cards away from a master set after the first box, it took me 2 more boxes to finish the set) was pretty poor for me.

Our first box was MANY cards short of 2 base sets, but the second two boxes yielded 2 base sets with only a few cards left over.

So - what's IN this set? There is a basic set of 45 cards. And then there's 30 foils, 18 of which are rare and 12 are ultra rare. Don't be put off by this - it was a rare, not an ultra rare card that I needed to finish the set after two boxes.

Have a look at the cards, from the base cards:

I like the set - I wish Artbox had put some effort into making it more "America friendly" - Japanese anime is frightening enough for Western folks and a little story text on the back would not have gone amiss. I am not entirely sure what they have translated -  can't see anything in fact.

Not to mention that the Japanese version also has a nice binder, and the US version does not.

Only in Japan, I will have to bite the bullet and buy that one although strictly speaking it won't match but I don't think it matters if Artbox never change anything

I believe it's the last two pictures - foils 19-30 but I am not sure of that - as I said in my first post there didn't seem to be much between them to me

I just broke down my box - you were right Roz, these cards look amazing in person, especially the foil cards. Pretty good collation overall, one full set and one near complete set with a few cards left over. I reckon its going to be one of the most underrated Artbox sets, but maybe FMA hasn't been fully appreciated out of Japan yet Undecided

Roz - I sent you a PM about some spares - thanks for any help in advance Cheesy

I bought a series 1 box when I was in Japan and the cards are great, especially the prismatic foils. Base card cannot be compiled from a box and I had some duplicates. The prismatic inserts from the box are all different and about 6 prismatic per box. Very nice cards!!!

Will that be a deck entirely populated by Maes Hughes cards then Jo?

I got you a promo deck Jo Wink

But those who didn't point out their mad fandom for FMA before I went to Memorabilia (well I couldn't pick up ALL the packs could I?) can see the promo deck here

http://www.fma-tcg.com/media/fma_tcg_demodecks.pdf

and the rules Wink

http://www.fma-tcg.com/media/FMARuleBook48pg.pdf

Both large files.

And some eye candy for Jo Wink

I like this one Smiley
