My old thread was deleted so... If anyone is interested, please check out my auction on ebay. Even if you aren't interested in buying, hit the link anyway to check out the pics of my collection so the time I spent putting the auction together isn't a complete waste. *************************************************************************************************** Since the collection didn't sell, I busted it into catagories and reposted. *************************************************************************************************** 7/7/2005 The Costumes and Autographs sold. I have reposted the rest, some with slightly lower starting bids and they won't be closing on a holiday weekend this time (in the US at least). *************************************************************************************************** 7/12/2005 I have reposted my sets and cut the starting bid in half. Hopefully they will all sell this time. POA Update AuctionsMark

The auction looks great! I like being able to click on the thumbnails and getting a big scan of each card.

Cindy, were you trying for a set of cell cards where the cell matches the picture on the card?

That's what I've been trying to do. I have five of the 9 cards where the cells match the picture or scene on the front of the card (for instance, my werewolf card has cells of Harry and Hermione cowering from the werewolf in the Forbidden Forest).

Good luck. I had a very difficult time finding one and the amount of competition for it sent the price way up. The cells show Hermione walking down the hill toward Draco, just before the punch.

I wonder if we'll see any more SS filmcards with the same cell

I don't think so - as Cindy has pointed out there are restricted cells to Diagon Alley Scenes, Scenes in Gringotts etc... so I think it's unlikely that it's even possible to collect all those this time

I only have two SS filmcards, so I haven't seen enough to say for sure, but it's my guess that an entire set of cards with matching cells isn't possible this time. For instance, I've yet to see cells of Harry playing Quidditch in any card, let alone in the Quidditch filmcard. Same thing with Hagrid pulling the Christmas tree, Voldemort, and well, most of the them. There might be some cells of the wizard chess scene, but it was too difficult to tell from the scan.

I have a Wizard Chess one but its gots a Gringgots cell. Do you think they just used the key scenes in the movie....no wait if they did we'd have Quidditch and Voldemort and some of the Trap Door scenes.

Well, no luck on selling my set. I guess my wife and I will have to remain childless. I will probably try listing again at a lower starting bid. Mark

Maybe you could break it up into four sets -- costumes, props, autos, and filmcards? You know, Mark, if people waited until they had enough money to have kids, most of us would never have them!

You know, Mark, if people waited until they had enough money to have kids, most of us would never have them! That's so true. Phil and I waited 7 years to have our first child. Now I wish we had started earlier. Pushing 40 years old with a 2 year old is tiring! And I found out too late that they really don't need all the new fangled gadgets you see at the baby stores. All you need is a really good camera and LOTS of diapers.

...and maybe some food. But I guess if you didn't have the food, you wouldn't need the diapers either! Oh yeah, and a Nintendo Revolution. Newborns love those. Mark
