I got excited when I got an email from Amazon this morning saying "Win a place at the Harry Potter Launch Weekend with Amazon.co.uk", so I go and find more about it and you have to be a kid (even though the email knew I had reordered the book myself, which I think will be mainly adults for there off spring or themselves, so should say ‘for your child’). I'm fed up with it, I want some adult places I'm sure there are just as many of us as there are of the kids. OK its supposed to be a kids book, but don't forget us completely we buy them too  :'(  This is just oldist

I totally agree, we had this advertised in our paper here in OZ last weekend to win a spot. I think it would be a fantastic opportunity, but what about an opportunity for the adults?? I would personally love to win something like this, to be there for the release of the book, and to be able to quiz JK Rowling, asking her questions about the series. I think it is a great opportunity for the kids, and it gets them interested in writing or reporting but honestly there are adult fans out there who would appreciate it just as much or even more....

Well that is just my opinion, if they had it for adults I would enter sooo many times  hopefully they will think of us next time  :'(

I have a strange feeling there was something for adults last time I'm not sure if I'm imagining it or not thought. I don't want much just a chance of a little something for the adult fan as we seem completely forgotten  :'(

I would like to see some better adult HP clothing out there.  Maybe some things that are a bit more subtle than having HOGWARTS spashed all over the front of a t-shirt.  Maybe a shirt with The Leaky Cauldron logo on it or The Weird Sisters tour shirt, or a hat that says Fizzing Whizzbee's.  Somthing that I can wear without feeling like a 37 year old dork.

I personally think they should make older adult clothing becaues I dont want to be wearing my Wizard-in-Training shirt forever.

I bought the "marauder's map" tee from Warner Bros and I think thats a tshirt adults can wear. Im 17 and I certainly dont want a huge picture of Harry and friends splashed on a shirt. Sometimes just the subtle shirt is best.
In our Adelaidian newspaper there was a competiton also to meet J.K but the cut off age was 16!  Stupid newspaper did this sort of promotion with LOTR and only interviewed like 5 year olds about the films when theyre not even going to understand the complexities of the storyline. Its so frustrating sometimes how media corporation dumb these things down and make it look uncool for older people to like them.

Personnally I don't mind Harry splashed across my chest  I'd love a Hoggies logo t-shirt and I would really love a Gryffindor one, but you can only get Slytherin in my size  But I'm with you with the more Adult HP clothes, and some sold in the UK and OZ too not just the US.

well I wouldnt mind Harry on my shirt but I would just be too ridiculed from my friends. 
But yep I could quite easily go a Gryffindor or hogwarts tee. I agree that more clothing should be distributed to the UK and OZ. The Marauders map tee cost me nearly $60AU with shipping.

Well at Christmas I bought a Hogwarts Hoddie and Azkaban sweatshirt from hot topic and ended up paying £40 odd in import taxes and holding charges and such 
I have almost worn my Harry t-shirt out 

I think WBs are missing a massive selling area, mainly us

I totally agree - how many wonderful competitions have caught my eye and then I read the not-so-fine print  which states that the competition is Open to Aus/UK/US residents aged between 6-15 years old

Surely the publicists or whoever is in charge of these competitions know the massive numbers of adult fans who would love the chance to be part of these events! They sell millions of copies of adult publications each year - there is no doubt the interest is there!

Hell, I would be more than willing to spend an afternoon surrounded by annoying screaming kids in Edinbrough castle listening to JKR read and then asking her questions! Kids are too lucky

At my Hottopic I think they've got some of the shirts mixed up because on the girls side they have a Hermione t-shirt and on the guys side they have a Harry shouldnt it be the other way around

I have the
Hogwarts Track Jacket (adult, well if you ask me it only comes in adult size so yeah its an adult jacket)
Muggle Shirt (kinda kiddy)
Hufflepuff House Crest Shirt (kids, teens, and adults)
Sirius Wanted Poster Shirt (teeny)

Thats what I've come across from shopping at Hottopic but I've found that stores like Wal*Mart and Target only have Harry Potter t-shirts around the time the movie is release in theaters. I've found a Harry Potter and the Chamber of Secrets shirt at Wal*Mart when I went to buy COS on DVD but it was the only one left in my size.

I wonder how many of the "kids" who signed up for a place in the media coverage were dragged into it by their "accompanying adult"!

Besides my Gryffindor tie, I also have:
Sirius Black Azkaban prison work shirt
A "Sirius Lives" tee
Dumbledore Tassle hat

Now I have to decide what to wear for the midnight premiere showing of Goblet ... There's really a little bit of a friendly competition among us adults. For Prisoner, I wore a Washington Redskins cap turned inside out (right colors for Gryffindor) with a label attached, "Call me MISTER Padfoot".
