I am looking for some info from any of our Shackers in Sydney.  I need to buy an engagement present for my cousin who lives out there.  I have looked at the Grace Bros website but they don't deliver.  I have found another department store called Peters of Kensington who not only deliver but also gift wrap .  So, has anyone ever heard of them and are they a good store?

This one is a long shot but I am also looking for a florist in Sydney.  My aunts birthday is on 28 December and we always send flowers.  Well last year we used Interflora and they were pretty naff so we want to go back to finding a local florist and phoning them ourselves.  Trouble is Graham has lost the number of the one we used a few years ago and Google is being unusually useless.  They live in Chatswood so if any Yakker knows of a good florist in that area and can pm me their phone number I would be incredibly grateful.  Thank you

I'm living one suburb away from Kensington. I haven't been to Peter's for years, but it does have a very good reputation - a lot of overseas visitors go there on the recommendation of locals. Nice place for gifts. I vaguely remember lots of delicate, expensive objects which is probably why I haven't been back I could also recommend David Jones which is a more expensive version of Myer (formerly known as Grace Bros - haven't heard that name for a few years, Sharon )

Chatswood is in North Sydney, which I don't know well. The only florist I know of is Roses Only http://www.rosesonly.com.au/default.asp which you might be interested in looking at. Free delivery in the Sydney area too

Thanks Jo  .  I had a look at the David Jones site but they only deliver wine and food hampers.  Peter's sounds like exactly the place I have been looking for  .  I have had a look at the Roses only site and they do look very nice.  The other two I found was Donna Florist and Stephensons but dad is adamant there is one actually in Chatswoods   .  I can feel a sneaky Email to my cousin coming on - trouble is she will say not to worry about sending flowers  .  Thanks again
