Thought I'd better post this seeing as I started the thread........
I've noticed a marked change in the colour of my autograph cards since having them framed. I have 3 out on display right now (all Star Trek) but the blue ink is not as vivid compared to other cards in the same sets. The two black ones (Osbournes and Hellboy) don't seem to be too bad.
They are all out of direct sunlight and the room has white "roman" blinds that are drawn all the time but still the colour has changed. Not sure if it's going to get any worse but I thought the rest of you ought to know before you go and get any more done. I've had quite a few framed in recent months (Buffy, Angel, Stargate, Farscape) but I'm afraid to show them now.

Is the glass directly touching the cards?

No they are all in the Ultra Pro "one touch" magnetic closure card protectors.

Supposedly. That's what I asked for. The glass has a faint "ripple" effect rather than normal glass so I guess it's the right stuff.

It's been suggested that maybe the Ultra Pro "one touch" cases are not acid free and that may be causing the problem. But some of the cards are just in regular plastic snap cases and they have done the same thing.

Sounds like color degradation from UV light. It's possible that even archival glass might not be UV protective.
I did some work in a museum with lighting and they put a UV blocking lens on all the track lighting in the place.
