Everyone delve their eyes into John's swatch: The piece says "t Scamande" - of Newt Scamander, the famous author of "Fantastic Beasts and where to find them" and beneath it it says "Quentin T" of Quentin Trimble. The author of "The Dark Forces: A guide to self-protection" Which means that the piece John has is from the second page of the invite letter that Harry got, I would personally have expected this swatch in this card: A mix up do you think? Or did they just stick any old prop letter that they found in?

Is'nt the school shopping list inside Harrys invitation to Hogwarts? So maybe those 2 different cards are sort of interchangeable. The shopping list card may include swatches from the invitation envelope. The Invitation card may (does) include swatches from the shopping list that comes inside of it.

Yes I just found it strange thinking they would separate the two since they'd gone to the trouble of making 2 different cards Let's try this * Accio all John's cool cards* Blast it - nothing works

Its probably because the whole letter was an invitation and they use the shopping list for both.

If memory serves me I think the actual fullname of the card is "Harry's Letter Delivered to 4 Privet Drive" and the letter has the shopping list ncluded. So, I'm thinking that the other long winded name "Harry's Acceptance Letter and Shopping List" is a wee bit redundant. And it looks like they are actually the same content. At any rate, they did use two nice different designs. I like them both. Please don't renumber the same design, is all I ask.

Oh yes - the letters are true to the books, if you dig out your copy of the Philosopher's Stone it will tell you exactly what the whole of your swatch says... I will look tonight

The green "ear" comes from the 'First year students will require the following' The black writing - Three sets of plain work robes One plain pointed hat (black) for day wear One pair of protective gloves (dragon hide or similar) So the dragon hide gloves was changed a bit in the prop... but the rest is the same Congrats on the great pull!

Wow, Trey! That's GREAT! My swatch is right next to yours. I have The word "require" in green, then a black r at the bottom which must be the end of the word "wear". This is cool. I'm going to look up Anna's eBay win right now to see how it fits. We should piece it together to see how it looks.
