To satisfy my pack-opening craving while waiting for SS set I brought 2 boxes of battlefield earth trading cards. They have autos in them but they are very limited:

John Travolta 200
Barry Pepper 200
Forest Whittaker 200

Well I did not pull the Travolta auto  Sad but I did pull the BARRY PEPPER AUTO 47/200!!!!!  Grin  Grin  Grin woo hoo

Does anyone know what this would be worth? I havent seen an auction for this yet.....

Also..is anyone interested in buying it??  Grin

According to nonsport update it is worth $140, but if you know how out of whack there price guide is you would  ROFL!

I would guess maybe you could get $50 (maybe a little more) only one way to find out  Ebay!

That is seriously a super rare card and tough to pull.  That set flopped (I think) because the autos were the only thing worth a box and were next to impossible.  And I guess the movie sucked (that is what I heard from many people).  Did It???

haha would you believe I have never even seen the movie!! I was just hoping for a John Travolta auto, thats all  Tongue and the box price was very cheap so I took the chance!!

I really knew that the autos were hard to pull, so I was a little shocked to find one in there really  Cheesy

might as well try to sell it, especially if it doesn't have value to you.

I am afraid I went to the pictures to see this too.  There are no words to describe how bad it was.  Thinking back I remember sitting in the cinema, looking around and wondering if it was just me.  Then realising everyone in there was also looking around in shock thinking the same thing - how could something so expensive and good looking (the look was amazing) be so truly awful   Huh

That whole "We mined the gold and smelted it and poured it into bars for you with our stone age tools and skills", was just too much for me.  Even though it was a lie, Travolta (can't remember the character name) bought it WITHOUT QUESTION!  What a pantload!

This movie ranks up there in my top Sci-Fi movie dissappointments along with Stargate.  What a way to take a way cool sci-fi premise and devolve it into a crappy CG strewn shoot-em-up by the end of the movie.

Anyway, to keep this on topic, I would love to have a John Travolta autograph card.
