It's good to give people some options.  Most of the box prices are the same, so it could come down to shipping costs and level of service.  I placed my little order with tomunique.

I had this info about Potomac in another thread, but I might as well post here.  The price per box is $57.  They have a $125 minimum order and free UPS Ground shipping in the continental US.

I have a firm idea of price now

well i am offering to do pre orders

they will be £45 including shipping in the UK per box if anyone is interested

I very well could be interested, depending on a couple of things. If we find out anything and If I find the money before then.

Umm I wonder if Accio money would work Undecided

Nice try! Cheesy

This site doesn't have pre-orders, but will take orders once the boxes are in stock.  If I'm not mistaken, Universal Cards is the retail branch of Potomac.  For those who can't afford Potomac's minimum order or don't want to pre-order, this is another option.  Box price is $63

Hi all,
I am going to try to get back to the board again, so many newbies, it is hard to believe I was like the 7th highest # of posts at one time.

Anyway, I ended up getting two cases of the SS.   All via trade, I traded my local shop owner some tough cards to part with, but overall I think it was a fair trade.

I will try to list the cards I traded as best as I remember
-Chris Rankin auto
-Dawn French auto (only one I had Lips Sealed)
-Earnie Prang auto
-Stan Shunpike auto
-Crabbie auto
-RON WEASLEY AUTO  :'( Huh (that was tough to part with)
Cant think of name...Janitor guy (only on I had)

-I think one or two others (can't think of them now)

-Costumes
-Gryfindor Tie :'( (only one I had Lips Sealed)
Slytherin Tie  :'(
Double Quiddich (my only one too) :'(
Hermione Pants  :'( (only one I had Lips Sealed)
Fudge Jacket
Lupin Jacket x 2 (grey swatch and black swatch
 (low #'d one to 834)

Buckbeak Feather  :'( :'( :'( (only one Lips Sealed)

Props:
-Fizzing Wizzbees (I still have three spares will put in trade section soon)
-Muraders map :'( (luckly still have one)

And one film cell card Harry on Buckbeak (really nice cell showing harry looking out clocktower window)

That is what I can remember off the top of my head....so the trade was for 2 cases of SS and I got a box of Family Guy Cool and SW ROTS Wink.   So I should be able to at least get a base set from Both and a couple of sketch cards!

Does this sound like it was worth it?   I figured I was never going to finish the set anyway.  Ron auto, Buckbeak, Both houses Tie cards, Muraders Map, Hermiones pants, and a few others were tough to let go.

As far as I can see, it seems to be a fairly even trade.  The dollar value of the cards you traded is equa tol or a little less than what it would cost to buy the cases.  It's just a bit hard to judge, because we don't know much about SS, but we're all in the same boat there. Smiley

I agree with kbmum.  The trade does sound fair.  The update set is extremely hard to collect for a master set.  With the 2 cases of SS, you have a good chance of getting all of the cards you'll need to complete the set, based on the rumors about the set.  If we had more info on the SS cards you'd know better though. Hehee - I think you have done the right thing - but I do feel for you over the Ron auto. It will hurt even more when you go to the shop and see him selling the Ron for something like $400 plus Sad

But you shall have 20 exciting boxes to open and assuming Artbox stick by everything they have been putting out it should be a fun set. More fun than the last one to open - boy - after 2 cases I was opening new ones simply to get cards I had already pulled  Sad

Oooh - I dunno about waiting... I remember thinking the same thing when the first PoA boxes came out with BINs of $50-60. Wish I'd picked up a case then!
