Okay, first of all, we decided not to do gifts since we just went on vacation, and my b-day was right before we left, and his is in two weeks.  Anyway, he ended up buying me something small, the CD of the movie Labyrinth, which I absolutely LOVE.  Anyway, we are going to see Star Wars in the theatres for his b-day, at his request.  So I thought I should at least get him something small too.

He like the band Korn, but the only CD he doesn't have is their Greatest Hits one.

Then, I thought about getting a Star Wars Sketch card (a cheaper one) to go with the movie theme.  He likes Ewoks, but I can't seem to find any sketch cards of them, or that would be a given. If anyone knows where I can find one, please let me know.

I also thought about the Revenge of the Sith or Star Wars Battlefront video game...even though they are a little more expensive (anyone have any reviews on either one?  I hear Battlefront is only good for online play, and we don't do online play.  How is single person?)

Then, I thought of a box of Star Wars Heritage cards......or another box of Harry Potter SS cards (even though I am just as big a fan as he is, I would let him open the whole box himself).  Again, these are a little more than I would like to spend.

Anyone have any ideas or suggestions that may help?

Thanks.

Does he like the little Star Wars action figures?  Those are cheap.  He could stand it on top of the computer monitor.  Or how about the Darth Tater?  Darth Vader, but as a Mr. Potato Head.  I need to get one of those. Grin  Or you could dress up as Princess Leia...Um, just kidding! ROFL!

They have a Darth Tator?  Where do you get those?

As for the action figures, I never thought of that!!  He has a lot from the original movie as collector's items, but never really started collecting them from the newer movies.  Do they still make Ewok ones?  I mean, I really don't klnow what he would do with it since he got so in to Harry Potter and everything else lives in the attic.......

He also like the Harry Potter Legos!!!!  I know the new ones are coming out soon, but not soon enough..but I think that KB Toys has the Shriecking Shack on sale for like $20 or $30!!!  What an amazing idea!!!  we collect those, but we usually take turns putting them together.  If I bought it for him, although it would kind of be for both of us, he could put it together.  What do you think of that idea?  Or is that more like a gift for both of us that I should not get?

I looked for a Darth Tator at Target, but they didn't have them.  Maybe try Toys-r-us.  I think the lego idea is cool. Cool  Personnaly, I like the idea of something you can do together.  I don't think it takes away from the whole "birthday thing" at all.  it's really nice that you have that in common.  P.S., I have figures from the original movie too!  I think I was in 4th grade?

Darth Tater looks like a hot item.  You may not be able to find one. :'(

Sara, try Wal-Mart for the Darth Tater set.  Ours had it for $7.84!  And like a fool, I put it back on the shelf.  Now I'm waiting for them to get another shipment.

That is just too cute!!

Still not too sure what I am getting him, but right now, I am trying for the Lego's.  I might go look at some older "used" video games too. We just picked up Myst III Exile for $7.99 over the weekend!!

I have 4 nearby.  2 of them didn't have them and I am calling the other two in a little bit to see if they have one they could hold for me.  A friend of mine is going to pick it up for me if they do!!  I thought it was $30 though....so it is $20!!!  Even better!!!
