Now that the new Sorcerer’s Stone set is almost upon us, and we shall get to visually feast upon many a new delectable card (or most of them…damn 50 case incentives), we can look back and start to ask: what opportunities did they miss? I know there is probably some prop, costume, auto or whatever card that we may not no about yet, and good for it to, as I like surprises, but so far we seem to have the general run of what will, and will not, be in the set. For example, we have an Oliver Wood costume card, which I think is great, but no Sean Biggerstaff as Oliver Wood auto card. We have a Matthew Lewis as Neville Longbottom auto card (good, my favorite character of the series), but no Neville’s PJ’s costume card. We are missing any semblance of Snap or McGonagall inserts, there don’t seem to be any double auto or costume bits going on (am I the only one who think it’d be fun to see a Jamie Waylett and Joshua Herdman Crabbe and Goyle dual signed card?). No sign of a Tom Felton signature, yet again, or any mention of any card having to do with the late, very great Richard Harris (common, a tribute subset at the least for one of film and stages greatest). Those are just some of what they seem to have missed the opportunities for, though I know there is much more they’ve missed. Oh well, if this thread seems redundant, ignore. Oh, and 2000th topic right here, ye-eah!

I agree with you that Artbox could have made some better choices for the cards, but maybe they'll surprise us and use the cards you've mentioned in the CoS set.

Artbox usually has a surprise or two, so maybe some of the "missing" cards will be part of the set. That's a great idea for a Crabbe and Goyle dual auto, by the way! As for the props and costumes, it must have been very difficult for Artbox to acquire the items for a movie that was released in 2001. I imagine that many of them would have been sold to collectors.

Or even a Crabbe, Goyle and Malfoy triple auto. I mean, they did it with the Gryff. threesome, why not with the Slytherin lot?

I would love a Slytherin triple... or even just a Malfoy. An Oliver Wood auto would be great as well. What about this for an idea - a Harry and Malfoy double auto?

Harry and Malfoy now you are looking for trouble. Ow I hope COS has Mr Malfoy.
I think tie or scarfs from the four houses would be cool.

A Harry and Malfoy? Oo, that'd be nice. You know, once all seven movies are done, they should do like topps did with trilogy, have a kinda of overview set, and have a Maruaders 4 auto card (James Potter, Sirius Black, Peter Pettigrew, and Remus Lupin . But I get ahead of myself. Another good'n, which would be a nice steal from what some sports cards are doing, would be to have, in edition to the regular autos and costume cards, would be to have autographed costume cards (to make things even more wild to try to get )

Autographed costumes would be a fantastic idea! Saves us having to get costume cards signed when the actors pop into town. Also I think Artbox will milk this set as much as it can while it has the licence, so I am positive it will do a "septology" (Hmmm... ) set like the LOTR set for sure. I mean the fact that they are doing previous sets (SS and CoS) is already a good indicator. I don't blame them - if I had the job, I woul dhave done the same Hope they don't do another 10000 case release again though

Yep. And think of it; that would mean there would be a Harry Quidditch robe that people would actually really want!

I love the idea of a Marauders' quad auto! If they can't fit that many signatures on one card, then two dual autos would be fine, too.
I really don't mind that there are so many Harry Quidditch robe cards. I like it and it's a great card to get kids interested in collecting.

All I really want is an Alan Rickman (Snape) auto.....if I could have that I would be happy and would never complain about artbox again

I am just upset that the one card I have been dreaming about ends up being the 50 case incentive card !!! Upset me, I must say.

Norbert (or his egg) and Fluffy would make a couple of neat CREATURE Cards. I just watched SS(PS) last night. The inside of the Invisibility Cloak would make a nice PROP card, of course, it's invisible from the ourside.

I would have loved to have a card wth the invisibility cloak in it I was looking forward to getting the train card, but then it turned into a fifty case incentive so that's off my list It would also be nice to get a Dumbledore costume card, the outfits he wore in the movie would make an excellent card

Yeah, Harris costumes wear different to Gambons so, that would be nice. Although ir really does depend what they could get there hands on after all this time.
