HI McGonagall, and welcome to the board fellow Aussie! I have not been able to find POA cards anywhere (I live in Sydney!) here, nor lOTR cards when I was collecting them - very disappointing. Ebay is my major source of cards... . Where are you from?

Well, I have not been able to find a single place that stocks Harry Potter or LOTR cards here in Sydney at all, amazing isn't it? Does the place where you saw that HP box have a web address at all, if so I may consider checking it out! No, I did not see Maggie Smith, it would have been great though!
Cheers, FTY

Dame Maggie Smith was wonderful we went to the stage door at his majesty's theatre and she came out and the kids got there photo taken with her and she signed 3 of there harry potter books . How is your collection of the harry potter cards going . ??

I have not really started to collect HP cards yet (only have a Harry Costume), I am debating as to whether I should. I have spent quite a bit collecting the LOTR cards and if I wanted to collect the HP ones, it would mean selling these, which I don't think I will as they are beautiful cards.
Did your shop there sell LOTR cards by any chance?

Bah, Pokemon! I found a place that sold the HP boxes for $200 AUD, am debating whether that is a good price as I have heard of some boxes containing nothing at all... despite promises of 'one insert per box' Roz and Ben (samwise16) from this forum bought a case and out of 10 boxes, 4 were duds! I would like to get it if there was most likely inserts in there like the LOTR hobby boxes, but imagine forking out $200 for nothing

That is the reason i never got the box that i found. I just can't afford to take the risk. as it is I am trading with a friend in the US theAustralia POA stamps andPOA Pins for a couple of base sets She got a case of POA cards but hasn't had time to open it if it was me it would have taken me all of 10 sec to start on the first box . Why is it we have to pay such high prices for cards

I might be interested in the box... but then again, I can't afford to get involved in collecting more stuff again . It is a pity that it is so much more expensive here, people in the US and Uk can pop into their local cmic store and pick up packs and boxes, but we have to resort to ebay and pay extortionate amounts of shipping etc. Glad there is a fellow Aussie here I can complain to about lack of supplies to, no-one else seemed to understand, spoiled as they are with availability

I know the feeling of not having someone to complain to. What people in other countries don't seem to realise that per box we have a add on another $20.00 to $25.00US just for postage . which bites. At times i have had things sent to my friend placein the US and it only cost $6.00 and then she sent it on to me and all up it cost less than $10.00US. I have found some really great sellers on ebay and have great postage rates. I think you should collect harry potter ttoooo I actually have all the sets and promo from BASE, QUIDDITCH. DIAGON ALLEY. ADVENTURE AT HOGWARTS, CHAMBER OF SECRETS. But this set is the best by far even though i know i won't get the whole set and I still need promo number 5 (silver) I just love it let me know if you get the box would love to here what you got in it

I just checked the site again... thiught I was searching an Australian site, but it was a US one, so that would have made it $350 all up. No thanks We'll see about the HP collecting after a I check if I have enough money to eat for the next couple of months Good luck with the collecting, hope to see you posting here as well! FTY
