I have watched the first 3 but do not know what Futurama is about.

My all time favorite cartoon series was Johnny Quest - action, adventure, science, and travel all in one show each week.  Great memories!   Smiley

Somehow the beauty of Anime and the complex storyline seems to make it more than "just a cartoon" - which is probably why you didn't think of it Jo*

Good point - I totally agree! Most cartoons are a series of separate episodes with little or no flow in the storyline as it progresses. While this doesn't take away from the cartoon itself, the way that FMA manages to weave such a complex and fantastic storyline over 51 episodes is amazing!

Although I've already posted that my all-time favorite is Johny Quest, another more current cartoon that I really enjoy is Gargoyles.  I like the storylines and the characters. Grin

I would have to say that my favorite cartoon today is the Simpsons, but I can remember when I was a kid and would wake up early every Saturday morning just to watch the Smurfs, He-Man, and She-ra  Embarrassed

Cartoons, cartoons ... did somebody say (errrrr ... write) cartoons. I don't think I've every stopped liking them. For me, there's just too many.

If we're talking about Japanese anime series ... I'de pick "Chibi Maruoko-chan" (not very adventerous, but it's funny and I can understand most of it) OR "Super Milk-chan" on [Adult Swim] (very random humor). I still haven't gotten to see much of Fullmetal Alchemist so I haven't decided exactly where it fits into it all). With American cartoon series, "Tom Goes the Mayor" on [Adult Swim] OR, of course, Spongebob (the cure for any overworked brain).

I'm sure there are more, but these are my favorites. It's way too hard to narrow it down to just one.
