The swatch is a slightly different colour, but that could just be scanner differences...is that what you are noticing?

Yes, the colour could be due to the scanners. I was really interested in the striations
running horizontally from top to bottom, as well as the apparent surface texture.
Just provided the scans for sake of discussion. No implications intended.

WOW it has been reach at $2,000 and it only been a day gone

This card is the most overrated and overpriced card i have seen from a HP

$2,000 already another 5days to go thats just crazy ppl

I would want to know how much it go for in the end!!!!!

I bid on this early on but let it go after the crazy bidding started.  Nice card though but not my personal favorite.

Hmm, the current auction has a spectacularly poor scan so it's hard to know whether to read too much into it... totally depends who's bidding but I reckon this could possibly go higher than a PTL has ever been before (£1400 - check the price guide for the US$ translation, £1400 is approx $2800 now, but back then I am not sure what the state of the US$ was).

Wow!!. I just can't believe that the price has gone to this much even at this early stage of the auction!
It's the midweek lottery tomorrow here in the UK. Fingers crossed!
If that doesn't work perhaps we can all chip in a certain amount of money each to buy the card and then have the card a certain amount of time each throughout the year!
It will be very interesting indeed to see what the card goes for in the end.
Although it is a nice card i just don't think i could bring myself to spend that much money on one card. It's just insane!!.
Just think of all the different HP costume, prop and auto cards that you could buy with all the money that this one card will go for in the end.

yeah, I agree Roz.  I don't think one has been up for auction in a while and it will very depend upon who's bidding (and how bad people want it).  But I'm w/ Stoney in that I personally wouldn't spend that much on a card.

As a relatively new buyer of cards and a MASSIVE Harry potter Fan i`m afraid i have to disagree!! Raz youre not a fan, youre a dealer so of course you wouldnt pay that much for a card, but i bet you`d sell one for that much  .
No offence meant but us newbies are dying for that card and would,    YES pay that much money. 
Raz i hope if its me whos wins i wont be the one who youre laughing at as i do find that remark a little brutal.
Whilst its nice we can all give opinions, maybe sometimes it pays dividends to keep opinions to yourself at the risk of offending others, especially if youre not even a FAN!!
Hope people take my point of view without offense and as its intended, Just my point of view

No Sue i wont be laughting at you if you win but what i said its just my opinion some would agree and some wont Yes i am a big FAN of harry potter i Like it, if i didnt i wouldnt been spending near £4,000+ already on the cards i have so far

this card its just way too much to paid for it, also the PTL wasnt use in the movie on top of that, i wouldnt spend this amount for THIS card.  i would paid the same amount on the wands from GOFU there much nice and better and also the wands been use in the movie

i do paid for what i like and it dont means course i am a dealer i wouldnt paid, few months ago i paid £950 on heroes comic con auto (Hayden & Milo) and i trying to find the other 3 to make the set. if it was about the money and profit i would have got the series 1 of heroes hadyen not more then £150+ and milo for £60+ or less

but i bought the comic con course it rare and much better course its been signed on the card but the series 1 of heroes was signed on the stirp foil these comic con are rarer as its been sign only 20

Hi Raz,
Thanks for explaining, Totally no offense taken and the same no offense meant to you at all. 
It`s just as a fan and a passionate card collector it did come across a little harsh what you said  , sometimes people invest alot into a hobby for many reasons and just as i cant understand why you`d spend 950 on a heros auto card i`m sure you wonder why i would on a harry potter card.
My point to you mainly was if people want to spend thousands and if they get pleasure from their hobby then thats up to them and not for others to mock. Again just my opinion 
Sorry cant give my top bid away, that`d be letting everyone know how much they out bid me on,  no very wise dont cha fink  .

Oh I see, but i bet your 20 cards are the good ones 
i`ve got about 51 now and still bidding. Theyre not really rare at all but i like them and i think i`m going to try bidding on the poa ones as i probably wont get another chance to get rare ones like that, especially with starting so late. My favourite cards are the order of the phoenix ones, maybe because i started collecting when they came out, i`m not as keen on the others as much. I do plan on getting a master set so i can display it but thats just a pipe dream right now.  it may never happen!
 
(((P.S: I did get your list passed on to me by the way  , thanks but i dont think i will be able to get any as i havent seen any yet    but you never know  ))))

But if you like to buy the rarest and one of the most interesting cards of all, you should think about bidding on my Harry Wand (see Diagon Alley). We have a list for this one too and isn't it more exciting than the PTL?

I didnt like OOTP and Update didnt like the design of the card plus didnt have any good cards i liked i had the kids auto but i sold it on few months ago

Oh did you sister past it on to you those are the best cards on the list i have them just need to get the 10 when i do all missing what i want is the Dark Book Variant and Harry Potter wand

Tower offer me it few weeks ago with a good fair price but didnt have the money just a bad timing i guess, if i did have the amount i would get it but i dont i want to use the money to get my other 10 cards i am hoping to get

hopefull i get another chance to get it course it my fav card in harry potter set

my advise it Sue get the HP Wand its the best and the rarest of them all also its a lower number and thats even more valubale

p.s hi Tower you finally saling the card its a shame if u had hold it another few months i would have bought it off you, damn its just a bad timing man

Thanks for the link but i seen it before i even talk to the seller about if he could sell it alone he said no and i have most of the card in that set anyway if you dont have them you should get it there are good and if you talk to the seller you can get the price lower

Let me know if you seen Dark Book or even any of the Wands. there are 4 set i might start getting them as GOF and update sets is my fav

Nop i dont like set at all, GOF and the update is one of my fav set in HP!!! its has all the cool cards in that set and most of them are rare but OOTP i was very disapointed in the set didnt like anything in the set

I am hoping the next movie set comes out in NOvember it will be better then OOTP i was very let down by the set

Sure i`ll keep a look out for you no problem at all. I think if i ever get a master set it would be order of the phoenix 1st set or update, i think.  Two reasons, i like them the best(Always a good reason,  ) and as they were only released recently i`ve got more chance of picking up the rare ones easier than i have of getting poa or gof, i do like chamber of secrets cards too, theyre my second favourite,

yeah OOTP and update will be easy its been out recently, and its very easy to make a master set when i spook to few ppl they did say these two set are easier then the others set

You sure get COS if you can find them they are great cards, i am going to get them aswell its past of my 10 cards i wanna buy

my favourite set are SS, COS, POA, POAU, GOF, GOFU those i love and i am very happy to got a chance to get them especially they are old and hard to find so i have done a great job to find them
