Quote number 1, a bit different from what you're probably expecting:
"Can you keep me alive just a little longer doc...I expect good news". Taken from The Good, the Bad and the Ugly after a dying Union colonel realizes that The Man With No Name and Tuco are on their way to destroy a bridge the Confederates and Unionists have been fighting pointlessly over for months!
OK I admit it loses its impact typed out but if you've seen the movie you know what I mean

OK, well slightly less of a classic (although it shouldn't be) "Yay! I'm a llama again!"

from Emperor's New Groove.

Aceness.

But why's the rum gone?

-Captain Jack Sparrow, Pirates of the Carribean

(note, I wanted to add most of the lines Johnny Depp spoke in that movie...  Wink)

One of my all time favorite quotes from a movie is from a John Wayne film from 1949 called "The Sands of Iwo Jima".  In it Wayne plays a U.S. Marine Corps Sergeant who takes a new squad of men from training through several battles in the Pacific - Tarawa and Iwo Jima.  The great quote which I have used many times in my life comes when they land at Tarawa and are pinned down on the beach at the famous seawall.  Men are being killed all around them and fear grips all the new men.  The line I love is "If you're nervous count your toes, I'll do the masterminding around here"!!  Priceless!   Cool

Sorry to lower the tone, but I'm going to return to a film I used to know inside out - Wayne's World - and I think I probably still do!

Wayne: <to bouncer> Who's playing tonight?
Bouncer: The sh*tty Beatles
Wayne: Are they any good?
Bouncer: They SUCK!
Wayne: Oh... so it's not just a clever name then!

LOL!

Good one Mark!!   Smiley

A question for my English friends - What is the earliest film you remember seeing Sean Bean in and do you have any memorable quotes from it?

My first knowledge of him comes from the TV series made in the early 1990's called "Sharpe" where he plays an Officer advanced up through the ranks by Lord Wellington.  I have purchased the entire series and have found him to be an outstanding actor.

How can there be a film quotes thread on this board without this?

Hold your ground, hold your ground. Sons of Gondor, of Rohan, my brothers. I see in your eyes the same fear that would take the heart of me. A day may come when the courage of men fails, when we forsake our friends and break all bonds of fellowship, but it is not this day. An hour of *woes* and shattered shields, when the age of men comes crashing down, but it is not this day. This day we fight! By all that you hold dear on this good Earth, I bid you *stand, Men of the West!*

One from Nemo that my 6 year old likes to repeat:

"What's that?"
"Ooo, ooo, I know.  Sandy Plankton told me.  It's called a, a BUTT!"
"Wow.  That's a pretty big butt."

"I guess when you're young, you just believe they'll be many people with whom you'll connect with. Later in life, you realize it only happens a few times."- Before Sunset

"Clementine: This is it, Joel. It's going to be gone soon.
Joel: I know.
Clementine: What do we do?
Joel: Enjoy it. " -Eternal Sunshine of the Spotless Mind

There are several more from both, especially the poem the second one gets its title from, that I also love. And if you haven't seen these movies do so. Right now. Brillance.

And of course "Nobody puts baby in a corner!"-Dirty Dancing

I know it by heart--how much do you want:
"Boromir: Leave it! It is over. The world of men will fall, and all will come to darkness… and my city to ruin.
Aragorn: I do not know what strength is in my blood, but I swear to you I will not let the White City fall…nor our people fail.
Boromir: Our people? Our people.  I would have followed you my brother…my Captain…my king.
Aragorn: Be at peace, son of Gondor. They will look for his coming from the White Tower. But he will not return."

I'd probably place this higher than Aragorn's Black Gate speech as well...but Theoden's Pelannor Fields speech tops both IMO.
