I would like to have seen/heard more French accents. Minranda Richardson seemed to be the only one. She is a mighty good actress can't wait to see her Rita Skeeta

I saw it and was not that impressed. The stage version was SO much better. I absolutely loved the stage version and have the original cast recording which I listen to often. I have many gripes about the movie which I'll spare you all. It's just a pity the film didn't get made back in 1990 with Michael Crawford and Sarah Brightman--would have been much better.
The costumes were absolutely beautiful though. And some lovely cinematography. The girl who played Christine (Emily ?) does have a beautiful voice. But that's about it.

Oh yes Michael and Sarah would have been much better. Michael Crawford is the best Phantom ever. And a top bloke. My mum wrote to him when he was doing Phantom all those years ago and he wrote back a lovely letter

cool ya he was and is the best phantom ,it is a pitty they didn't make it years ago whan they could have both been in it but thats what divorces do(andrew loyds and sarah brightmans) ya i mean what was with the pronouncing the names in a brilliant french accent and then completely dropping it.apart from Miranda of course(queeny at her best)

The only thing that annoyed me about the film was the costumes for Maquarde. They are singing about all those colours but they were in black and white
