No cake for me, but I did get a trip to Baltimore without the kids and we had dinner at a fantastic place - swear it looked like a hole in the wall, but the service and food were outstanding! Today is my youngest's 3rd birthday so now I'm off to wrap presents for him Have fun all! |

oh, happy birthday to my fellow september people! Great month to have a birthday. My fantabulous choccie cake:  My mums amazing present wrapping, complete with blue butterfly (one of my many obsessions):  And my present from my mum, the most gorgeous bag Ive ever seen:  Bellas present to me was to spend 24hours cowing under my bed in fright becuase there were strange people in the house, then she spent last night knocking every single breakable thing down onto the floor. I was up at 1am glueing mums stuff back together...i would have got away with it too if there hadnt been a piece missing |

Now that is what you call a chocolate cake . How on earth do they do the marbling on the curly bits . And I tell what Kate if you were a bit closer I would be round your house getting your mum to wrap all my presents for me |

How on earth do they do the marbling on the curly bits . They spread the melted choc out on their marble bench, then when its partly set the use a spatular to scrape it up into curls.... they can also spread it on baking paper and drape over a rounded surface before it sets fully..... can you tell that i used to work in the shop that made my cake? |
