Congrats on a fabulous day!!  Grin

Jackie - if you want pressies other than light sabres on your 40th, then don't be shy about dropping hints on what's you'd like as gifts on your big day - just tell them!!
As the joke goes ... they're blokes, they don't 'do' hints and subtlety, tell 'em outright what ya want! Azn
hee hee .. the worst that can happen is that they'll say no ... and I'm a firm believer that if ya don't ask, ya don't get! Azn

OK here is my cake pre-eating.  To be honest at the moment we just don't want to cut it because it is just too beautiful (cards on the turrets to give a sense of scale).  The main castle is fruit cake and the turrets are Madeira so as you can imagine it weighs an absolute ton  Shocked

One more picture will follow in a few days - I received the most amazing lilies from two of my great Shacker friends but they are still tightly closed at the moment.

Grin I love it - I particularly like the creeper/ivy gowing up it Grin

It's a 1:149,000,000 scale-model of your home right?

*Don't disillusion me*

It also floats on clouds above Essex right?

P.S. This could explain why the postie has trouble finding your home Wink

P.P.S Speaking as someone who kept a lot of marzipan models of cute animals for a long time because she "couldn't possibly eat them" - and eventually had to throw them out Sad I say - TUCK IN!

Roz was right. This is our house. The cards on mine and Sharon's wings are actually billboard size  ROFL!

All in all, Sharon was pleased with what she got (phew). All pointedly pointed fingers may now be aimed in another direction  Grin

Roll Eyes From a distance eh  Roll Eyes.  A little bird told me you were present when the aforementioned little bird bought this  Wink

A small piece of trivia to bore everyone with is that the company that made this cake also makes the cakes for Selfridges  Grin
